It seems insufficient to say that I had a horrible experience because that seems to be a theme with this provider. One person suggested that she buys reviews--I don't know. But, it's hard for me to believe that so many people on Zocdoc have had positive experiences. For reference, I saw Dr. Aranador over 1 yr ago, and I still feel compelled to go back and leave a review describing why this is the worst experience I've ever had with a medical professional. 1. I left a negative review on Zocdoc immediately following my visit for many reasons, not the least of which was that the doctor insulted other patients during my visit (e.g. I'm not Hispanic, but she made multiple comments about "Hispanics" not caring about their weight and/or blood pressure, she made fun of some of the women's breasts she's examined, she made fun of some of her male patient's nasal hairs etc). Her judgement and lack of professionalism made me wonder what judgements she might be forming about me as she… performed my physical. 2. I visited her because I had been sick for one week after returning from Cuba. She kept treating my visit as if I was coming in for a regular check-up, so I consistently had to remind her of why I was there and what I needed. A couple of times she even forgot which tests she ordered. 3. When I left a negative review on Zocdoc, she sent me long texts telling me why I shouldn't have left a negative review AND she called me multiple times, leaving nonsensical voicemails. 4. This is perhaps the worst part (and the reason why I still have negative feelings more than 1 yr later): I visited her because I was already sick--I had gone to Cuba and was experiencing severe digestion issues. My insurance covers out of network providers if the treatment is curative as opposed to preventative. Dr. A filed my diagnostic tests as "preventative," which means that insurance wouldn't cover it. When I called my insurance company directly, they expressed that my visit should've been covered, but the doctor would have to use the appropriate code. It took me 2.5 months to even get Dr. A to return my calls, let alone take responsibility for having filed the claim incorrectly. I finally got her on the phone as she struggled to find the right code. She picked a random code and made it clear that she would not help resolve this issue that she created. Fast forward to today, and I find out that the claim is now on my credit report, for diagnostic tests that would have been covered if she filed correctly the first time!

Dr Aranador is a pleasant, polite and helpful physician. Being an experienced doctor she can help you navigate you insurance plan and find you your the best options. I recommend her.

Dr Arañador is thorough, uses medical evidence based medicines, discusses your illness and gives one copies of latest literature so you have a better understanding of your illness, She spends an inodinateamount of time with her patients even though she is busy. Her long years of experience and life long devotion to her profession has made her a wise and learned professional..
