Dr. DEREK KANE is a BOARD CERTIFIED SURGEON & CHIROPRACTORDerek Kane, MD joined the Surgery department at Mid Dakota Clinic PrimeCare in August 2009. A native of Bismarck, Dr. Kane graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Anatomical Sciences and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Rush University in Chicago, IL where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Prior to joining the clinic, Dr. Kane completed a general surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee where he served as Co-Administrative Chief Resident, and received the Resident Teacher of the Year Award as well as the Golden Scalpal Award. Dr. Kane is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
