Dr. Derek Todd Landis

I went to see him because a colleague said the waiting environment was very nice (sick patient separate from well patient) and he himself was nice. His experience about my daughter's eczema was the same as other doctors. He prescribed some oral steroids to her. After she took those, she started to have some reactions the following day: swollen face and swollen neck. I was terrified and called the office and wanted to let him see her again. It was said he was all booked the whole morning and they were close in the afternoon (Friday). I didn't give up and drove directly to his office thinking he might see her because she had this after his prescription. They still didn't let me in even after a fight with his nurse. I know I might be not calm enough after arguing with the nurse for a while. What she said was I should go to the ER if I thought it was dangerous. I was so angry and disappointed to hear this. That was the first time ever I met a nurse like that. I know this may not be related… with Dr. Landis. I thought of letting Dr. Landis know about his nurse's attitude to a patient. She blocked the door for a patient to see the doctor! After that, I never went to that place again. There are good doctors elsewhere.

After moving here from Okc I was blessed to have ran into Dr Landis. My daughter loved him.. Then I had my son it has been a nightmare since. I guess it is because i am in the office more with all the checkups for a newborn. Let's say I should have listened to what others said about his staff they are the true wicked witches. And i have fell victim to them. But I have relief by switching Drs.. So sad because Dr Landis is a great Dr but left because of his staff.

Dr. Landis is a great doctor. He is very caring towards the kids. His staff on the other hand is very rude. My son had an allergic reaction from a medicine and I called and spoke to his nurse and because the hospital gave him the medicine they refused to see him stating "well its not our problem". when I filed a complaint with the manager of the office he works for against the nurse and office I was immediately dropped as a client. His staff was always rude to me whenever I came in, he hardly had appointments available and when you did have an appointment you had to sit in the waiting room well over 30 minutes. I switched to a different doctor. If he got rid of his staff, I would recommend him. With his staff though, I do not recommend his office.

Dr Landis is wonderful and the same with Karen his nurse. My kids absolutely love them both. But as far as the receptionist, she can be rude and inconsiderate. Actually in debate about changing Dr. so I do not have to deal with her!!!

Excellent doctor

I have chilren who need numerous referals and have to see multiple doctors. I came to Dr. Landis because he was highly recommended by my friend who was a nurse in the same building as he. At first I was fully satisfied with the doctor and staff, that is until he got a receptionist. Now it is impossible for me to get the needed referals for my children and their care is suffering because of it. I am going back to my old doctor, his office is busier but I would rather wait than to receibe lesser care.

I feel that Ardmore has been blessed by such a caring doctor. Dr. Landis caught a heart defect within moments of meeting my daughter, that had gone unnoticed for 6 months by a previous doctor in town.
