Dr. Derek Cecil Moore, DO

He didn't do a very well exam. I told him my head hurts and he lied in the notes that I never told him my head hurt. He so said when asked I never said it hurt. I know this because my primary care doctor told me what he had in my report.

Dr. Moore was focused. He answered questions thoroughly and explained procedures well.

Dr. Moore was kind and compassionate during my recent ER visit. He consulted with an ophthalmologist regarding my eye issue and was thorough in his assessment and plan. My issue was addressed quickly and I was able to get relief fast.

Was quick and very efficient with ruling out the issue. And super friendly at first his super tallness intimidated me but his great personality made that go away quick lol. Thanks doc

Dr Moore and his ER staff was really good last night this is the reason why I keep coming back to Newton hospital, they're very professional and they actually care about their patients, I wish she had a family practice because I would definitely sign up for him to be my doctor very good at what he does, the night shift was very cool also..

Over the weekend, I had an unexpected emergency with my 9-week-old, and I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Moore. From the moment we arrived, he was attentive, kind, and incredibly reassuring. As a mom, it’s terrifying when something happens with your newborn, but Dr. Moore immediately made me feel at ease. He took the time to listen to what happened and responded and explained everything in a calm and reassuring way, and was so gentle and caring with my baby. You could tell he genuinely cared and wanted to make sure we felt safe and informed every step of the way. He didn’t rush through anything, answered all my questions, and checked on us frequently during our visit. In such a stressful moment, his compassion and professionalism made all the difference. I am beyond grateful for the care we received and would recommend Dr. Moore to any parent without hesitation. He also had the best nurses working with him. Anna, you are amazing! Thank you, Dr. Moore, for taking such good… care of my little one!

Dr. Moore and the ER staff were fantastic and very friendly. Dr. Moore was very quick and efficient with care and getting results and then discharge.

Dr. Moore and the nursing staff were wonderful when I went into the ER. I was in a lot of pain and truly thought it was just because I was severely dehydrated and constipated. Come to find out I was having a gallbladder attack. He took the situation seriously while still managing to make me laugh. This all happened on mother's day. It wasn't the way I wanted my day to go, but Dr Moore and his staff definitely made me feel special and appreciated so it definitely wasn't the worst day.

Dr. Moore has phenomenal bedside manor. I was super nervous about being seen due to dealing with these health issues for quite some time and failing to get any answers. I have just had some pretty frustrating experiences, but Dr. Moore was very understanding and patient. I would love to have a doctor of his caliber as my regular doctor. Thank you Dr. Moore for being so great even though my frustration of my situation was so evident at the beginning of my visit!
