Dr. Derek Daniel Prabharasuth, MD

In 2017 this doctor misdiagnosed or failed to identify bladder cancer for a whole year while I was in his care. He created a false passage way while trying to complete a basic TURP. After three cystoscopies over the course of one year he final diagnosed me with cancer. Unfortunately by this time my bladder cancer had spread outside my bladder requiring chemo and a neo-bladder by a competent Emory surgeon. I now have stage 4 kidney failure but remain cancer free. I am a medical professional myself and want to make sure this guy has become competent in how he practices. Please be aware that he no longer practices in Georgia where this occurred. It is extremely important to research your doctors to ensure they are competent. Word to the wise, avoid this guy.....

The staff here are exceptionally nice, patient and friendly. The doctor was clear and thorough. The only downside was the wait times and not enough seating due to Covid restrictions.

Dr. Derek Prabharasuth is amazing!!!! He is very attentive and professional. He is very nice and makes you feel at ease instantly. He really cares about his patients. I've gone to see him twice, and both times I felt that I received the absolute best care. He answered all my questions and was able to come up with the best treatment plan with an issue I've been dealing with for months. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat. Not only is the Dr. great but the office staff is equally as nice and caring. They really make you feel like part of a team that cares about your utmost health.

The staff at Advanced Urology starting with the front desk and continuing with technicians, nurses, discharge are all friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking Urology physicians.
