Dr. Deri Michelle Lewis, MD

I was very impressed with this doctor. She was very professional, in every way. Explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. She even went along with my weird sense of humor. I could not have ask for better care.

I was not pleased with office staff very rude and Dr was unpleasant. I do not recommend her or her office.

Great bedside manner and professional at the same time.

Dr Lewis makes you feel very comfortable and spends time explaining any information with you in "real terms" rather than "doctor language". I went to her as a second opinion, and even though her office was further from my home I ended up having her perform my surgery after my consultation. I wish more doctors could be like her!

Dr. Lewis repaired an incision hernia that had been closed four times by other surgeons. After one year I believe that it is finally permanently closed. She is a wonderful person: caring, extremely competent, and very personable. Her office was great: after the first visit they greeted me by name and almost always was immediately taken back to the examining room. They only time I had to wait it was less than five minutes. My perception of the hospital and surgical staffs was that they thought very highly of her. All of their comments were of the "Oh, she's great" variety which made me feel very comfortable. I would use her for any general surgery that I need in the future and highly recommend her.

Dr. Lewis is phenomenol! She diagnosed my condition right on. She is an excellent physician, has a very caring and compassionate personality and has made herself readily available (even while she was on vacation) to address any concerns. She studied my history, contacting prior surgeons to consult to provide a better understanding of my medical history. She is a very concientious physician who took on a very challenging case and has resolved the pain and physical difficulties that I was experiencing. Many thanks to her and her staff!

I love her to pieces. She was not only my Surgeon, she soon became my friend, just like a daughter to me and my husband. She listens completely and is overly cauitous before even starting the surgery. She retain, and studied, all of my surgical notes from former Drs and then talked to us and explained what where and how she was going to do the surgery all of the what ifs I had were answered for us. It was a critical operation, she found out after getting in there,but by the Grace of God Dr. Deri Lewis, and God, saved my life. Don't even bother trying to knock her down with your rude comments, I know the real Doctor. Her staff has ALWAYS been extremely friendly and courteoud to us. If I ever have to have surgery again otr my husband we woulkd go to Dr. Lewis and nobody else.

I came to her for excisions of two moles - for melanoma. She was very kind, friendly, and customer service oriented. I have not experienced much of a wait at either of my visits.

1. Had office consultation for removal of lipomas.2. Was told all I needed was results of most recent physical. Nothing more.3. Received call from Lewis' office saying now I needed a surgical release from my general physician -- a pre-op physical (this is 2 days before the surgical procedure is scheduled).4. Had general physician deliver physical records and frantically scheduled a pre-op physical with a doctor I don't know in order to keep surgery scheduled.5. Received call from Lewis' office one day (less than 24 hrs.) saying I didn't need release letter after all and a pre-op physical would not be necessary.6. Showed Lewis three lipomas to be removed and two skin tags. Lewis told me she would be inserting drain tubes where the lipomas were.7. Did not receive call from anethesiologist the night before surgery because she was throwing Lewis a baby shower.8. Day of surgery, Lewis comes in to mark spots to be removed. Obviously did not refer to her consultation notes. Lewis… decided without any further observation or consultation that she would not be inserting drain tubes and then she only removed 2 or the 3 lipomas -- leaving the largest, most painful one intact. I'm not sure what the normal procedure for removing skin tags is, but she cut a hole in my arm instead of clipping it off -- like she was removing a huge mole or growth. 9. Went through the expense and agony of surgery with general anesthesia when it was unnecessary and then the surgery was incomplete. I believe she was distracted or not interested or possibly she suffers from ADD. 10. She will never treat or see me again. Incompetent.

I waited for a little bit however I did not have an apt. I was seeing another doctor in the building and my doctor refereed me to Dr. Lewis. My doctor called Dr. Lewis personally and Dr. Lewis asked/invited me to come up right away. She was wonderful and very kind to my 5 year old daughter.
