Dr. Derrick Hendricks Adams, DO

dr adams was supposed to remove a small skin cancer on my noise. after two different cuts on the first visit he said he got all the cancer. it came back several months later. he cut some more off my noise and said he got it all this time. now after a couple years it is back and now have to have more serious surgery on same area dr adams said was clear. current dermatologist said he did a terrible job. he may be great at giving out lotions but I wouldn't let him cut on any one I know.

The list of negatives is long. Treated me as though he reAlly didn't care. Did biopsy. Sent results in mail. No followup. According to new dermatologist he prescribed wrong medicine. Wait in waiting rooftop long and wait in exam room even longer. He forgot me and did several other patients before he came in and told me he forgot me. Next appt I was showed up and he wasn't even there that day.needless to say, i won't be going back.

Dr. Adams and his staff are both professional and kind. I cannot thank them enough for their compassion and the sincerity they have always made me feel in the care I have received. Thank you.

i don't have a high deductible and he worked with me on it.

Saw Dr. Adams for a rash my other dermatologist was giving my high dose cortisone for. What I like about him is that he stopped the cortizone and did a biopsy because he admitted he "did not know" what I had on my legs. All doctors act like they know everything. Dr. Adams was honest about it. He said he didn't know but would find out and not just treat me with cortisone. I have thyroid edema on my legs and he figured it out. He also helped my sister in law with her anxiety and rash. It is hard to find a dcotor to admit they don't know everything.

Not only did he address my list of issues but he hooked me up with some good samples. My favorite thing was the fact that he asked me what I thought was causing my rash. Rather than preaching at me and discounting my view of things, he ASKED me what I thought about it. I have never had a doctor do that before. Anyhow, I thought he was great. Office staff was little cranky though and the magazines in the lobby did not have a good selection of ethnic choices.

Dr. Adams has been my primary Dr. for several years. He is very thorough and truly cares about his patients. I once had a problem that required being looked at under a microscope, Dr. Adams let me look too so I could see what he was talking about. He also spent time after my appointment looking up more information so he could help me better. He is a great Dr. and I am very bummed that he is no longer at our clinic!
