Dr. Derrick Vincent Marinelli

I've been a patient of Dr. Marinelli's for almost ten years. He was responsible for saving my life in 2014 from an aggressive form of kidney cancer. Since then, Dr. Marinelli has been my primary Urologist. I have recommended his services to both family and friends and to anyone who wants to be treated as a person and not just a number. Approximately 30 years ago, my family doctor recommended me to see Doctor Derrick Marinelli (Urologist) for an issue I had. Then, I telephoned Dr. Marinelli's office and set up an appointment. When I met Dr. Marinelli, I knew this was the doctor for me. His people skills are very kind and considerate. When I left his office I knew a great doctor/patient relationship was forming. Doctor Marinelli is an outstanding doctor. He carefully listens, asks questions, and he allows me to ask questions too, then he has a clear direction for me as a patient. Ten years ago, Dr. Marinelli performed surgery on me. The results were perfect. Doctor Marinelli took time out of his busy schedule followed-up and called me afterwards to check on me. That made me feel amazing. Each year, when I made my appointment to see Dr. Marinelli for my check-up, his staff always made me feel welcomed. I always looked forward to seeing him because he made me feel very comfortable. He is thorough,… knowledgeable and conducts follow-ups. He keeps outstanding written notes, and is the most personable doctor I have ever met. The buck stops with Dr. Marinelli. He will take care of you professionally, as he did for me. Simply to say, the absolute best doctor! I sincerely appreciate Dr. Marinelli for all he has done for me.

I've been a patient of Dr. Marinelli for something like 15 years. He always explains things in plain English, and he spends as much time with me as needed to answer all questions. I never feel like he is in a hurry to get to his next patient.

I've been Dr. Marinelli's patient for at least a decade. I expect competence and compassion from all my doctors. He meets my needs very well. His support staff is good, not great.

I went to see Dr. Alavi at Marinelli and Feldmanâ??s office. The young nurse is HORRIBLE. She is arrogant, rude and hurried. She did everything possible to try and humiliation and embarrass me. She disclosed information about my illness within hearing range of other staff members and patients. SHE VIOLATED MY CONFIDENTIALITY. She has no regard for your dignity or privacy. I will not be going back.

Love Dr. Marinelli. He is a very patient, knowledgable and compassionate man. He has a wonderful bedside manner. No problems at all after my surgery. Answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. I will definitely refer friends to him.

Dr. Marinelli lacks compassion and has no patience with grown women whose pain and discomfort thresholds are low (with regard to uncomfortable tests). If you are at all anxious about having a catheter jammed up your urethera, this is not the doctor for you. He will not show any interest in helping you overcome your fear or discuss the procedure with you at any length, especially if you call over the telephone. Most of the time you will be with his nurses. Be prepared if you are a fusser, like me, to be scolded, berated, or belittled by Dr. Marinelli, who will tell you that you are the only one who has ever responded "that way." Not a nice man. Shame on him. If you look closely at his background, you will see that the medical institution he attended has only one star. I guess they left out education on patient-doctor communication or how to reassure a nervous patient.
