Dr. Derrick I Chun Wang

Dr. Derrick Wang received his bachelor degree in Biochemistry from
the University of California, Riverside. He went on and earned his
Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania, School
of Dental Medicine. Dr. Wang completed a general practice residency at
York Hospital, York, Pennsylvania.
During the first 10 years of Dr. Wang’s professional career, he
maintained a private practice in aesthetic and general dentistry with
his wife in York, Pennsylvania, and remained on medical staff at the
York Hospital and Apple Hill Surgical Center where he performed dental
rehabilitations under general anesthesia. He is the past president of
York County Dental Society. He is one of the first general dentists in
York area to perform dentistry using a surgical microscope.
After 10 years practicing general dentistry, Dr. Wang returned to his
alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine,
to complete his specialty training in Endodontics. He received the
…Louis I. Grossman Award in 2009. Dr. Wang has taught at the Penn
Dental Microscope Training Center where dentists from around the world
trained in microendodontics and microsurgery. Currently, Dr. Wang is
appointed as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of
Pennsylvania, Endodontic Department. He is also an active medical staff
at the Evergreen Hospital, Kirkland, WA.
Dr. Wang is an active member in the American Association of
Endodontists, The American Dental Association, Washington State Dental
Association, and the King County Dental Society. He is currently
serving as a reviewer for the Journal of Endodontics, and serves on
committees in the American Association of Endodontists.
Dr. Wang and his wife, Dr. Kao, have one son, Kevin. They enjoy
travel, tennis, or simply spending time together as a family and truly
enjoy what the greater Seattle area has to offer.
