Desiree R. Huntley, NP

Desiree Huntley, ARNP, FNP-C, joined the PeaceHealth Medical Group Sedro-Woolley Family Medicine team of providers in September 2018. After spending a long career caring for hospitalized patients with acute illnesses, Desiree has a great appreciation for health promotion and preventive care for all ages. Desiree is no stranger to PeaceHealth. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she spent 20 years in various roles at PeaceHealth United General Medical Center, starting as a hospital volunteer at the young age of 16. She most recently served nurse as manager of the Surgical Services department, where she was responsible for safe, effective and patient-family-centered care. “I care deeply about the health of our community. I enjoy partnering with my patients to help them overcome any health challenges and live their lives to the fullest,” she said. Desiree is a proud Skagit Valley native and is actively involved in promoting health and wellness in our community. She participates in …STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programs in local schools and provides health education to local sports teams. She is also a longtime Autism Life Skills volunteer in Sedro-Woolley and Mount Vernon. Outside of the clinical setting, Desiree enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two teen boys. She can often be found on her motorcycle and strives to plan an annual motorcycle trip with her husband.
