Dr. Desmon Antonio Brown

I recently had a wisdom tooth extraction surgery with Dr. Desmon Brown. I chose to go under full anesthesia, meaning that I was going to be asleep for the whole surgery. When it's time for the surgery, I sit in the chair, and Dr Brown starts to put the IVs in me, one in my hand, and one in the crook of my elbow. The IVs are put in, and he injects all the drugs into me. I start to feel drowsy and high, but I haven't fallen asleep yet. After a couple minutes I'm still not asleep, and I start to get a little worried because I'm thinking that I should be asleep by now. Then, Dr Brown comes over to me, and starts poking around in my mouth, making four really painful strokes, which I'm almost positive were the incisions, because there was no reason to numb my mouth since I was going to be asleep. I start crying at this point because it is so painful, but both him and the two assistants just tell me that everything's going to be fine. Dr Brown then starts grinding away at one of my teeth. At… this point, I start having a panic attack, I'm sobbing, shaking, and hyperventilating, but they keep going. I didn't think about telling them to stop because I was very high and scared. I eventually fall asleep because I don't remember the rest, but one thing I DO remember is, right before falling asleep, Dr Brown asked me if I smoke marijuana, to which I respond "very rarely." I smoke once a month, if that, and the last time was 2+ weeks ago, so there is no way that it would still be in my system. He then proceeds to tell me that this is why the anesthesia is not working on me. Even if that was to have an effect on the anesthesia (which it doesn't, especially since I am not a heavy smoker), Dr Brown should have waited for me to be fully asleep before doing ANYTHING, should have given me more anesthesia, and should have especially stopped doing whatever he was doing when he saw that I was in pain, crying, and freaking out. Do not go to this doctor. He does not know what he is doing.

Dr Brown is very caring and informative. He did an excellent job extracting, exposing and placing bond attachments on my son teeth. I highly recommend him.

Had my wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Brown and was done so quickly I couldn’t believe it. I never write reviews but everything went so smooth & he was so nice! 100% recommend him.

Doctor Brown was incredibly professional as he took out my wisdom teeth and my fiance's in the same month. We were both pain free within 2 or 3 days and the swelling peaked at 3 days and reduced rapidly after that. Neither of us got dry sockets even though we did several things wrong and we were both literally up and moving by the end of the 1st day despite our wisdom teeth being severely impacted and horizontal. Couldn't be happier and could not have picked a better doctor!
