Dr. Desmond Okey Ikondu, MD

I visited Dr. Ikondu in 2006 after suffering injuries in a rear-end collision with a city dumpster truck. I remember this visit because I became extremely upset by his rude and condescending demeanor, as my attorney referred me to obtain medical treatment for the car accident I was in, and he basically laughed me out of his office. I left without so much as a prescription for Tylenol and felt very deflated and talked down to by him - I remember him saying I was a young man and shouldn't have back pain (despite the fact that I was involved in a car accident just days earlier). Fast-forward 14 years later, and I am now living with chronic back pain. I just returned back from a doctor's visit wherein xrays of my lumber and spine were taken. I do not appreciate this man talking down to me and am very glad to see he is no longer in practice in Edinburg.
