Dr. Destinay Doxey

D’estinay Doxey is a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW-C). Her work experience includes medical social work and providing outpatient therapy to individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, stress management, and substance use issues. D’estinay completed her Master of Social Work at Wayne State University. She utilizes a holistic approach to create a safe, understanding space to support and empower her clients. She incorporates a trauma-informed perspective into evidence-based practices including systems therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, seeking safety, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness. Support and connection are some of our best tools in life when experiencing discomfort. D’estinay believes in providing a therapeutic relationship where dignity, respect, and self-determination are valued to allow individuals to flourish in their own personal growth.
