Dr. Devika Hanumara Sood, MD

Been going to her since I was about 11/12 and am 25 now. Has never given me the chance to actually TALK about my anxiety and depression because she’s always so quick to cut me off and through the years has tried re-prescribing me what she knows gives me reverse effects. For a little over a year now my anxiety has been crippling and she will not listen to me. I made an appointment with her to be referred to a psychiatrist who could properly prescribe me the right medication (and to hopefully have a doctor who LISTENS), made it out to her appointment, saw me for about a minute and a half IF THAT, she cut me off from talking, walked out the room then had someone else come in to hand me a paper with psychiatrist numbers on it. Then has the nerve to put on the My Chart app that she “gave me anxiety counseling and referred me to a psychiatrist”. Only giving 1 star because I can’t give 0. Complete waste of time for years. Also to add, she upped my dose of thyroid meds even though my thyroid… levels were perfect at the low dose!

Cardinal Healthcare is seriously the best Family Practice in the 4 State area. I found Dr. Sood for my kids originally because the office was close to home and school for them. I eventually started going for myself and later my husband and father in law joined them as well. My husband is a veteran, but would rather go to Cardinal Healthcare than the VAMC. What I like most is that they care for you like you are family. They get to know your health history, your needs and preferences and then treat you accordingly. Both Dr. Davika and her husband/partner Dr. Vineet spend appropriate time and effort at making sure you are healthy and informed about healthcare decisions and options. They are friendly, but also not afraid to tell you how it is, when it comes to your health. My family relocated down south, but whenever I plan to be back in the WV area, I make an appointment. Cant get any better than them.

I love her as a doctor. Been going to her for many years. She got my blood sugar under control and always listens when i have other problems.

I love Dr. Devika Sood! She always takes her time and explains any answers I need. I like that she gets to know her patients and really cares for them. Every time I go, the staff is always friendly and helpful.

I first went to Dr Devika Sood because her practice was close to my home. I stay with Cardinal Healthcare and Dr Devika Sood because she is a family practitioner who specializes in caring for people. She has a real passion for what she does. I feel I can tell her anything and I never feel rushed. She is understanding, thoughtful and respectful. She believes that each patient is unique and therefore takes the time to listen to their concerns and then provide individualized treatment plans for them. She gives me information I can use in a way I not only can understand but can REMEMBER. All the staff at Cardinal Healthcare is the BEST. They are so efficient and friendly. I would never want to go anywhere else. I have and will continue to refer others to her.

Very unprofessional. Went for annual physical Doctor spent an hour ranting about her political views and conspiracy theories. Never examined me. I left in a state of shock. Please avoid.

I would like to say that the doctors and staff at Cardinal Healthcare are the BEST in town. They are so efficient and friendly. I would never want to go anywhere else. I would recommend the office to anyone!!!!

Received a letter from this Doctor's office notifying me that she she was no longer interested in being my care giver. Letter was curt and negative in tone and did not reveal a specific reason. I have been seeing this Doctor for several years although only when necessary and to manage my health while in WV. One or two visits per year is all I require because I have another doctor in FL. I am a snow bird and live in Florida for 7 months of the year. I called for appointment expecting at least a five minute explanation. Office staff informed me that an appointment would not be given nor should I expect further communication from this doctor. I have no clue why I am being treated this way.

Staff is very unprofessional. The doctor seemed not to be herself. I am very disappointed.

Best dr I have ever had.
