Avoid !!!

Dr Ballard is an awesome doctor. He spends quality time listening. I love the staff at Sherwood Family Medical Center. My only issue has been with his nurse over refills. She does not always respond in a timely manner. I feel like I am having to argue and justify to get my refills at times.

I went to him one time. I will not go to him again. I went to him for Type 2 Diabetes and Vertigo. He diagnosed me with Bipolar Disorder. He did not listen and cut me off when I tried to answer a question of mental illness in my family. I was diagnosed with Severe Anxiety Disorder in 2011. If he would have listened, he would have known that. I told him that Seroquel caused me to gain weight and have problems staying awake in 2006. He said that was old-school Seroquel and prescribed the med anyway. I have had issues with foot calluses and retinopathy that have gotten better. If I took seraquel, any gains in diabetes would have been for naught. I am working on a writing project on theophobia, fear of God, and scrupulosity, OCD and religion. I am also writing a book dealing with PTSD and natural disasters. I know what I'm talking about. I brought in information to prepare for a disability accommodation meeting in my job while I was waiting and seeing that information could have… created a problem. He also said severe anxiety disorder was within bipolar disorder when it is not. They are different, but possibly co-occuring disorders. He appeared to want to show his perceived superiority to me. As one who has done research on narcissism, I would not trust him.

Very thorough and just right on the small talk.

Always listens and doesn't immediately push pills unless absolutely necessary. Great bedside manner and works to keep his patients healthy.

A few Months Back I made the mistake of going to this quack! They missed things, he was short and crass, and was very poor about listening to my concerns. Typical God complex. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR.

Dr Ballard has been my Doctor for years now. He has from the first meeting appointment always been upfront with me and spends always the time needed to make me feel as if I am his only patient and that is anything but true.He was the one to diagnose my Cancer back in 2007 and he made sure that very quickly I was put in contact with the Baptist Healthcare system at the Medical Center At Springhill Dr in North Little Rock AR. He has followed up with all the treatments and made sure that I was always taken care of as far as any meds that I needed to help through the long process.ONE GREAT DOCTOR !!!!!!!!

Vindictive and dangerous. Willing to work against your best interest. Went behind my back to seek revenge with other doctors. Broke Hippocratic oath with me. If this keeps one patient away, worth it.
