Dr. Devyani Misra, MD

My physician was very nice and she listened to my issues with patience and helped me to get through my disease. I loved the way she discussed the options and new treatment options available. She is very much informed about evidence based medicine and practice it.

Dr Misra has a cheery facade that might lead you to think she’s competent. But she was less than mediocre - very poor diagnostic skills, unwillingness to advocate or partner with specialists, and quick to psychologize when things were too complex for her. She doesn’t care to spend the time to really get to what the root causes are of your problems. I’d rather a bad bedside manner and diagnostic excellence than this sugary exterior that covers for blatantly bad medicine.

Dr. Misra has a cheery facade. But she is incompetent for anything that involves analysis or consultative work. When she doesn’t know something (which is often), she is quick to go for psych reasons for legitimate physical ailments. Beware of this lightweight doctor. As a senior citizen, I was overly impressed with her nice bedside manner, under which lurked, to put it mildly, very mediocre clinical ability. She doesn’t even know what she doesn’t know! She really needs to get re-training in diagnostic medicine before she does more harm by her incompetence.
