Dr. Mohnot elicits confidence in me as he is very knowledgeable and shares information in detail. I have suffered with headaches for decades . Under his care, the frequency has been significantly reduced. I also appreciate his office policy of respect for this patient's time. I call about 1 hour prior to my scheduled appointment time and the office notifies me if I should arrive at an alternate time, thereby eliminating my waiting time in the reception area.

If only there was a LESS THAN ONE STAR: My mother was experiencing excruciating headaches. After seeing many doctors who would not do anything but feed her with pills, I remembered Dr. Mohnot helping Mom when she was in her 60's. I went took her to see him. After all kind of expensive tests, diagnose: "There is nothing I can do for your mother!" I told him I came to you because you helped her before. Answered: Without making eye contact and mumbling he says: "But she was younger then and all the meds she is taking give her the side effect of headaches! May God helped him!!! I found another YOUNGER doctor who helped mom but given her a treatment of 4 injections: two in back of the head on each side and 1 on each side of the head! Mom was relief of her headaches - she was doing this treatment every 3-4 years! Older doctors and advertising years of experience NOT necessarily mean BETTER.

His office staff is very courteous and prompt. They are willing to help as much as they can from small issues to large. Dr Mohnot is always very thorough, he listens well, he checks my medication list at every appointment and reminds me that if a problem arises, I can call the office anytime.

I would not go back to him ever again. After tests, after test for my mother due to headaches - the answer was "as he mumbled" "nothing I can do for yor Mother. All medicines she is taking should be helping her for headaches!" - no eye contact either". A 36 year old Neurologist beautiful doctor from lafayette helped mom with injecting in the temples and back of head. Headaches got much better and was able to sleep like a baby Go figure !

He takes a lot of time explaining things to you and is very knowable doctor. Would recommend everyone to him.

I tried going to Dr. Mohnot a few years ago for my migraines because a friend recommended him. He ordered an EEG and an MRI and found nothing. He gave me a sample of some preventative medicine but when I went for a refill I found out that it cost over $300 so I did not get it filled. He also had me on a regimen of vitamins so I felt like I was taking a handful of pills a day. I advised Dr. Mohnot that I was also on a medicine prescribed by my cardiologist to increase my blood pressure because of another problem I was having at the time. He gave me a prescription to lower my blood pressure which didn't make sense to me so I called my cardiologist to ask his opinion. He told me to quit taking the prescriptions given by Dr. Mohnot and I haven't been back since. I didn't feel like he was listening to me or understood the other problems I was having. Why would he prescribe a medicine that would contradict what I was already taking? After that experience, I just didn't feel like I… could trust him any longer.

He assured me, after extensive test, that though nothing was found; It was all in my head. The pressure like discomforts are easier to endure. Thanks Doctor.

Dr. Mohnot was friendly and compassionate from my very first visit. I had had headaches for years and they were becoming more severe than even OTC medicines could handle. He gave me a thorough neurologic exam, told me that my symptoms indicated migraine headaches, but scheduled me for other tests to rule out other causes of my pain. The tests were painless, easily scheduled, and run by competent personnel. My results were sent to Dr. Mohnot quickly, and he checked my physical history and medications I was taking before prescribing a migraine reliever. Dr. Mohnot keeps up with my physical health by periodic blood tests, just to be sure no other complicating conditions have developed. He noticed a high cholesterol level and prescribed (successful) medication and lifestyle changes to bring it down. I must emphasize his compassion for headache sufferers. Many women feel that migraines are caused by something they are doing, that it's their fault they are having pain. He thoroughly… explained how migraines begin, how to take the medicine to obtain prompt relief, and more than once assured me that it wasn't my fault. There is no language barrier whatsoever. His staff is friendly and efficient. I wish I could award more than 5 stars; he is that great!
