Dr. Dhara Jesangbhai Chaudhari, MD

This lady shows zero compassion. If you're looking for somebody that will actually discuss test results with you and CARE about what's going on, pick someone else. My daughter has had a few test results come back showing a rare congenital digestive disorder and an iron building disorder, also congenital. She has lost 118 pounds in 7 months and has gotten so weak she has had to move back in with us. Although test results show iron is high, Dr. Chaudhari says they're perfectly normal and had my grown daughter crying in the office because of the total lack of care and concern she was showing. Dr. Chaudhari spent the office visit today defending herself instead of speaking to my daughter about symptoms or test results, unless we specifically named a test result and asked a question. A recent ultrasound showed gallstones and gallbladder sludge. When questioned, Dr. Chaudhari stated she didn't personally feel that was the cause of any pain. 2 minutes later when questioned again, she asked if… we wanted my daughter sent to a gall bladder surgeon because she isn't a surgeon and she could be wrong. We finally asked to be transferred to Duke and will be sent to a surgeon for consult. Just ridiculous.

I first started seeing Ashely at this practice and I loved her but when I had to have some tests Dr. Chaudhari took over my case because a NP couldn't do them. I di not recommend Dr chaudhari whatsoever. I leave messages for the nurse and finally after a week and 5 voicemails I let them know that I knew she was there and felt like they were just ignoring my calls. They called me back in a few minutes so that pretty much told me they were avoiding my calls. She diagnosed me with ibs and called me in a medicine. When I went to pick up this medicine at the drugstore they told me that my insurance wouldn't cover it because it was not FDA approved. So I expressed my concerns and she called in a different medicine. The second medicine was also not FDA approved. The reason the FDA wouldn't approve it is because it was extremely unsafe and caused several related deaths. This medicine also interferes with two of my other meds. I expressed my concerns but she didn't want to listen. I asked her… to please call me in something that was safe but she said she would not call in anything unless I took the medicine she had already called in. I said you have called me in 2 meds in a row that the FDA didn't approve because it's very dangerous and will interfere with my previous meds so I said if you're not willing to call me in something safe I guess I'll have to find another doctor. She refused to call me in anything else because I wouldn't take a medicine that the FDA has proven to be very dangerous. I was very nice to her but after this and not caring about my concerns I decided to write a review so others wouldn't have the same experience. If you do see this doctor and she calls in a med for you please make sure you check it. I understand that doctor's make mistakes we're all human but 2 times in a row and after me expressing my concerns she refused to do something safe for me! Don't see this doctor she's awful
