Dr. Dhaval M Patel, MD

Dr. Patel is a skilled surgeon, however the business practices of his office are unethical. Although Dr. Patel was a contracted provider with my insurance and the insurance company agreed to cover my medically necessary procedure, he refused to work with the insurance and told me all necessary documentation would be provided for me to file the claim on my own. That was a huge red flag I overlooked due to necessity of having the procedure done quickly. It took many months to a year of emails and phone calls with the office and outpatient surgical center to receive appropriate documentation that I pieced together for the claim. Dr. Patel's office then attempted to file their own claim and indicated I had not paid for the procedure, which was false as I had receipts of all payments that were required before the procedure. The situation eventually required legal intervention and the Illinois Attorney General. Dr. Patel delayed the process and refused to refund the $5405.39 overcharged.

Great staff all around. Everyone, from the front desk to the nurses to Dr. Patel, was extremely caring, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Dr. Patel and nurse Karla are wonderful! I'm very pleased beginning with the consultation to the office visits and results of my upper and lower eyelid surgery, fat transfer and Contouring of face/neck area to thin out my Lower face and neck area. All of this was done in office under local anesthesia that saved me a lot of money and no need for general anesthesia. I love my rejuvenated looking young face. Highly recommend!

I think you for a wonderful job well done I had a panniculectomy and I am so happy with the results. I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for having me relive my life once again. If I can give you 100 stars I would. Since the age of 5 I weighed 100 pounds and losing 198 pounds and looking the way I did made me depressed. I thought I would loose weight and look at least a little decent but all that sagging made me look horrible. Let alone the issues I had with the skin on my stomach. Thanks again to you and your wonderful staff.

Accepted my insurance and then had hidden paperwork that signed my insurance rights away. Made me pay upfront for surgery. So basically he is fraudulently getting paid TWICE for my procedure.

Dr. Patel and his highly skilled and thoroughly trained staff leave nothing to chance. Patients are treated with the utmost respect and diligence. He listened to me and my husband. He believed in my symptoms and has a long list of symptoms recognized with breast implant related illness for me to check off and review with him during consultation. Information regarding your procedure is plentiful with written material to support all prep as well as after-care directions. There are no surprises which supports patient comfort and confidence pre-procedure.I will always recommend Dr. Patel and his Team. I had my breast implants and enbloc capsule removed after having breast implant illness symptoms and breast pain. Dr. Patel took all the implant material and scar tissue out. He used my own breast tissue to do a breast lift to get rid of all extra saggy skin as I had large implants in place. Dr. Patel created the perfect breasts for me by utilizing my own body fat. It is a great comfort to… know that there is nothing foreign in my body any longer. I am in perfect proportion for my weight and size and feel lighter and healthier....Thank you so much. K

Deciding among multiple plastic surgeons in the Chicago area proved to be a rather difficult task. After perusing both the reviews section and 'before and after' photos I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Patel Plastic Surgery. I woke up the morning of my first consultation extremely anxious and somewhat apprehensive to even show up. The anxiety I had quickly went away within the first couple of minutes of meeting the staff. Their hospitality and welcoming nature is like nothing I've ever experienced. The nurses at Dr. Patel's office thoroughly answered every question or concern I had. They took amazing care of me both before surgery and post-surgery and held my hand through this experience. Dr.Patel is personable, knowledgeable, and insanely talented. He listened to every word I said with the utmost concern for my happiness and well being. I have never met an entire faculty so driven to please every patient that walks through their doors. Dr. Patel has given me the… confidence and happiness I was wishing for with my breast augmentation, 360 liposuction and fat transfer.

I love Dr. Patel and his office. He has been my go to doctor twice now (breast augmentation + tummy tuck & BBL), and I have not been disappointed. He’s very knowledgeable and attentive even during recovery. He will never have you do anything or a procedure that is not necessary. He is very personable and humble for a very well known plastic surgeon in Chicago area. His patient care coordinator will work with you financially as well. I could go on and on like a broken record, but I say go to Dr. Patel and you won’t be disappointed. I’m happy with my results and the care I have gotten from the entire staff. this is a team you’ll love.
