Dr. Dhruv Bipin Pateder, MD

I had to replace my current spine specialist and was referred by another doctor (other issues) in this practice, but was immediately informed by Dr. Pateder that he was a surgeon and had no interest in my diagnoses, history or in treating non-surgical situations. I’m not sure how I would have known this before the appointment and while I understand this may be a common misunderstanding with new patients, he certainly made that, um, quite plain. He did refer me to pain management. I don’t object to the message but to the delivery thereof.

Dr Pateder has been my back doctor for years and he is amazing! Great bed side manner caring an compassionate! Would highly recommend!

Dr. Pateder confirmed, as a second opinion, that my spine problem was as identified by a previous PA. This relieved me because the 1st diagnosis did not involve a doctor and Dr. Patederhas the knowledge and experience to relive my society on my back issua. Dr. Pateder and his office gained approval from my insurance company for an MRI which was no small feat. I thank himand his staff very much!

Dr. Pateder was working at a disadvantage at my recent first appointment as AC was not working on a hot summer day. Despite that he conducted assessment of my symptoms, x-rays, and ordered an MRI to more deeply evaluate for a targeted plan of action. He as well as staff was so competent and helpful, made first appointment fruitful as foundation of next step which hopefully is plan for wellness , that every patient desires, confidently based on that demonstrated competency and care.

Dr. Pateder was very thorough and explained everything to me concerning my Neck issues and what the options were. He took the time to listen and answer my many questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Pateder.

Dr Predator provided a complete review of my neck and was able to give me a written recommendation for physical therapy for my neck which has been a severe issue for me over the past week. This review resulted in treatment of my neck by INOVA hospital physical therapy department and direct improvement of my condition.

Dr. Pateder is a great spinal surgeon performed my ACDF multiple levels surgery. Dr. Pateder very clearly explained the problem, possible solutions , compassion of options , and recommended me the best possible solution to my case . Dr. Pateder performed the surgery very successfully and takes care of all the necessary steps. Dr. Explained to me and my family about the procedure in detail . He is one of the best care taking , expert spine surgeon I am having to my spine problems. Dr. Pateder had very special surgical hand !
