Dr. Dhruv Jayantilal Shah, MD

Dr Shah is very knowledgeable about spinal problems. His injections are always right on and never hurt. He is kind and listens to me, unlike some other doctors. I have learned about stretches and exercises to ease my pain.

I've been going to Dr Shah for a couple of years for a bulging disk, carpel tunnel and arthritis. He has been a life saver for me! He listens and answers all my questions and provides top-notch care and pain management! Thank you Dr Shah!

Given I was referred to pain management, scheduled an appointment for him to tell me he has no records and to have xrays done. I did the xrays, scheduled another appointment only for him to tell me that my xrays looks fine to obtain records of a MRI that I had or he will give me an MRI. I waited and waited on his staff to schedule the MRI as what he told me they would do. Only to call a month later to find out that they could not locate a number to schedule the MRI. In the meantime I was hospitalized which the hospital doctor issued an MRI- (mind you I was hospitalized for severe pain). With this MRI I faxed over to the office for Dr. Shah to review prior to my appointment so that I would not waste another copay for him to order additional testing to prove I have MS. Elizabeth acknowledge that the records were forwarded and I should be ok for the visit. I drove there for Dr. Shah to tell me I should do Medical Marijuana!!!!!!!! What I do not even smoke! He said my copays are part of… his time and he will not write me a RX that I need to look into Medical Marijuana that is all he can offer me because the government says if my MRI and xrays are ok that I can not have a RX. I looked at most of all the people in the waiting room and said they are one pill away from overdosing and here I come to the doctor appearing to be ok and he tells me the only help I will get will be from Marijuana. I say do not waste your time and energy with this man that profess to be a doctor. Rude and inconsiderate to anyone who comes there seeking real help. I will gladly go back to my old pain management place. (I left because the doctor I seen had left, trying a new place is not always good).

I only had the pleasure of meeting with Dr Dhruv Shah on 3 occasions. The initial visit was getting to know each other. The 2nd visit was to relinquish the X-ray & set a plan of action. My final visit was to move forward. I did not do my due diligence & seek any reports or ratings re: Dr Dhruv Shah. With that being said, IF I had seen glowing reports on Dr Dhruv Shah I would have moved forward because my PC referred me to him.The issue began with he had lied to me at my 2nd visit. 2ndly, I had the audacity to question him about the procedure he was going to perform on my cervical nerve block. As he stated he spoke with me for 5 minutes & either I was going ahead with the procedure or I could go back to ACH where I previously had it done or CCF because I was wasting his time. I chose to do as he suggested & leave. The procedure which was done at ACH was EXTREMELY painful & if it was warranted again to make sure I was sedated. On my 2nd visit Dr Dhruv Shah he agreed to sedate me. I did… not realize Dr Dhruv Shah only told me that to make sure I would return. Rather than Dr Dhruv Shah to ATTEMPT to make me at ease he felt the need to be aggressive & combative in his tone with me. It was a wasted day off work but a valuable lesson learned. IF YOUR PHYSICIAN REFUSE TO LISTEN TO YOUR CONCERNS THAT AFFECTS YOUR BODY, HE IS DEFINITELY NOT THE ONE TO BE WORKING ON IT. This have not left a bad taste for me towards other Pain Management physicians just Dr Dhruv Shah. I didn't go to Pain Management to get pills but to get an alternative type of relief without taking an aggressive approach of back surgery for pain I've been experiencing for over 10 years. Pay attention to what your conscious is telling you, it could save you a world of hurt later.

More concerned about covering his rear from government oversight than treating severe pain of valid, long-standing patients. Priority is number of billable appointments they can get through in a day. Average wait (late" time in 45 minutes after appointment time. Never received an apology or even acknowledgement. No regard for patients' time. Only a Pain Practice could get away with this patient disregard and still have people waiting in line. If you mention more or stronger meds, you'll likely get "find another doctor".

Been going to DR Dhruv Shah for about 7 years. As with anything, you get used to the routine. I wish I didn't need pain Mgmt. The dr did find that I needed surgery when I first started and it helped greatly. On June 2, 2017 the employee with the name starting with Ch...ti...ne that handles the urine checks stole money from my purse while I was in restroom. A significant amount of my food and medical money. Filed police report. Not one time did I hear from the doctor, no apology, no help, nothing. So ladies keep purses closed and with you at all times.

I have had very good experience with this office and staff. I love Dr. Shah. He listens to me and understands my pain.

I went to Dr Shah & he had my records & recent MRI results, I fractured 3 vertebra, & have DD from T12-S1 with every disc bulging, herniated, and multiple sites with bi-lateral stenosis. He took 5 minutes & said I should't be in pain as I only had a little mild arthritis He then said I had 2 weeks to decide on surgery or drug rehab. I fired him & had to get the office notes for a referral, after going back to sign the release, he called me at 7 PM & said it would take several weeks because the records were off site. After a month the new Dr said they still hadn't received the records & I had to threaten legal action to get them. He's definitely an arrogant inconsiderate, incompetent Dr.

I adore this doctor! I would have virtually no quality of life without him!!! He is worth the wait!! While he is forced to follow insurance protocol, which is sad but not his fault, the end result was life-changing for me!! And I wouldn't want any spinal procedures done on me by anyone else!! His surgical education and skills are uniquely the best!! God bless you, Dr. Shah for all the help and pain relief you have given me!!!!! I would highly recommend you to anyone dealing with chronic pain issues!!!!

My first and last time to this Dr!! I sat in the waiting room for 2 hours, IN HORRIBLE PAIN due to the uncomfortable chairs. The last post here tells it all. This DR sucks! So worried about what he may or may not get in trouble for!? I have all documentations stating my condition(s) If your doing your job correct and I'm a legit person in chronic pain what the heck are you so worried about? The long form I had to fill out, I (HONESTLY) stated my last Dr. all the meds I have been on, past and present. I'm NOT DR or pharmacy shopping-the DR made sure of that since he gets a print out of everything you've done, where and whom you've seen. So, why was I grilled, it was right there on the form? I want to have a REAL Dr that is concerned about my chronic pain, not someone that just sits there on his computer shaking his head yes. Waste of my time, gas and money! It's not my problem this DR maybe having a bad day. I shouldn't have to accommodate his mood. Be professional. BTW, The… staff-girls in the office are great! One exception, the heavy set lady, maybe smile and show your may like to work there?
