Dr. Diana Mekler, MD

Will NOT return to this physician. First, No one is ever available to answer a phone. I must leave my number and message and wait...and wait....for a call back. TWICE I was told by this doctor "yes! I am an in-network physician...only to be billed TWICE for out of network visit.

She is an amazing physician. It’s like stepping back into time- when physicians did not rely on nurses or medical assistance to do their jobs for them. She performed a full exam, asked and filled out all the questions... I only had to sign consents and a Hipaa agreement. She treats each person as a ‘whole’ not just focusing on one spot, where the pain is the worst. Her exam was more thorough than any I have ever had- she genuinely cares and is extremely personable. I would recommend her to anyone who TRULY wants to find out what is wrong with them and wants their pain relieved. If your looking for a pill mill- don’t go there. She’s much better than that. She’s the ‘real deal’.

I went to Dr. Mekler about a month ago. My first visit, I was impressed by her listening to what I had to say! I went to her with a lower back pain. I had so much pain that I could hardly walk. Two days later, I had 80% mobility. When I had my follow up visit, I talked to her about another pain that I had in my right leg. I told her my symptoms and she gave me her diagnosis. She treated that illness and 3 days later, I had a 70% improvement. My regular physician had me thinking it was arthritis and I had to live with it! Not true! Diana had me better in a couple of days and without daily meds! If you have a pain, go see her!

She is AMAZING! She really knows her stuff. Dr Meckler and Dr Shomstein BOTH meet with you on your first visit. That way they both have an understanding of your condition and you will be able to meet either one of them in the future. First, I want to stress that I have never been treated with such respect and compassion from a pain management doctor. Both doctors were extremely thorough, and answered all of my questions. They explained to me all of my options for treatment and what our final goal was. They even called me a week later to see how I was doing. One more thing, I received some injections while I was there....... painless. I have been getting injections for years from my former pm doctor and thought that all injections were just supposed to be a horrible, painful ordeal. Well, that's not true. Injections don't have to be painful at all, if you go to Dr Meckler she will prove it to you.
