Summary

Hello, nice to meet you! I’m Diane, a double board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner with over 15 years of nursing experience. I also hold a Perinatal Mental Health Certification and I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist. I provide care to clients across Pennsylvania, specializing in treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia and sleep issues, bipolar disorder, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and trauma, anger management and impulse control concerns, and burnout. My doctor of nursing practice from the University of Pennsylvania and post-master's training in psychiatry from Johns Hopkins University provided my strong basis in evidence-based mental health care. I’m passionate about destigmatizing mental healthcare, and together with my colleagues at Lavender Psychiatry, I’m on a mission to create a world where feelings are felt, respected, and cared for.

My therapeutic style is characterized by warmth, engagement, and a genuine personal connection. I believe in establishing a strong, collaborative relationship with each client, where we work together to make informed decisions about their treatment. I chose to be a psych NP because I cannot imagine doing anything else in my life except for helping those who are finding their way and their voice. I always wanted a career in nursing and in healthcare due to my desire and passion of wanting to help those who need it the most.

My practice is inclusive and welcoming, embracing diversity in culture, background, and experience. I have worked with a wide range of clients, including students, parents, professionals from various fields, skilled tradespeople, service industry workers, retail employees, entrepreneurs, artists, and technology experts. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space where each individual feels heard, understood, and empowered to achieve their therapeutic goals. Starting treatment can be a scary and intimidating process, and I’ve successfully treated many people who are new to psychiatric care.
