Throw in a bulky chair, plug it into the wall...and we'll call this place a spa!!

I thought my experience with Dr Heckley was the exception, but quickly found out after speaking to others in town who had gone to her, it was the rule! I am still suffering from the after-effects of my visit....and deeply regret not doing more research before going to her office for a dental emergency, that turned into a neverending nightmare. I usually would not take the time to write a review, but my conscience wants to help the other unsuspecting souls who will fall victim to her practices. The billing problems after my visits went on and on...even after I told them they were over charging me and double billing me. I had to go back several times (and hound the office to do so) to refund my money from several different overages after they received payment from me *and* compensation from my provider. They would not have said a word to me if I had not spoken directly to my dental coverage provider...who eluded to the fact that this office is either incompetent or scamming their… patients. Now, that doesn't even touch on my experience with Dr Heckley herself. An over zealous driller, who left me in serious pain after "fixing" my broken tooth...which was not a problem and simply needed a temporary until my crown was ready, until she ground the tooth down to the gum line, unnecessarily, so she could pass me on to her friend for a root canal. I spoke to other people who had bad experiences with her as well...but it was too little, too late. Please, I have nothing to gain by warning you....heed my advice. I truly believe her office plants positive reviews on other websites...it would not surprise me in the least.

Beware of this dentist. If you look at "Intuit" you will see tha she has ALL 5s. The reason is that she can review the ratings and choose to post what she wants. She is more concerned about money and the amount of clients she can see in one day. I find her to be a very poor Healthcare provider and wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Heckley is the most friendly and gentle dentist I've ever been to. She always has a smile on her face and is focused on helping you to get the best treatment possible. Her hands are small, so she is able to access your mouth with minimal discomfort. She also has a real talent for giving shots- my whole family has commented on how you can barely feel her give you a shot. Her work is very high quality- she put veneers on my teeth nearly 18 years ago and they are still on and look great! Dr. Heckley stands behind her work and has nothing but the highest integrity. While other dentists may be willing to "patch over" some problem in your mouth, Dr. Heckley is going to make sure that you have functional, quality dental work so that you won't be wasting your money. As for her office environment, it is very clean. She has a new "Spa" theme to help patients relax, which is neat (at Bloomington location, not sure about Bedford). Her staff is very friendly and helpful with insurance filing.
