Dr. Diane M Jackson-Richards, MD

I recently saw this doctor for my psoriasis and I am extremely happy I did! She listened to my concerns and made recommendations on how to treat this condition. I followed her advice and applied the medications as directed and my psoriasis is much improved! I am so thankful for her and how she helped me!

I have been seen by doctors in the Henry Ford Medical System for 25+ yrs and I am honestly surprised they keep Dr. Jackson-Richards on staff. My experience with her has been exceedingly poor. She is dismissive to the patient's concerns, very brief in her time spent with the patient, doesn't explain anything, does the most cursory examination possible, and largely disregards the patient's input. In other words, her "bedside manner" is atrocious and her medical expertise is suspect, based upon the care I have received from other physicians for the same issue. I have discontinued seeing her and will not be returning.

"I had a horrible experience with Dr. Diane Jackson-Richards. She was dismissive with my rash and seemed bothered by my questions. I am 70 years old and asked her if I could have a body check (which I have never had). She said "well, if you really want one I guess I could do it". She was walking away as she said it and was gone! I was shocked by her attitude and lack of concern for me as a patient. Update - another dr. found a growth in my ear and I am going in today for a biopsy. "

I have to agree with the other reviews here - this doctor is very impolite and does not listen to patient input at all (I get that she’s the medical expert and sometimes people think they know everything because they find it on Google, but she dismisses everything without listening to what the patient is trying to communicate). She does not respond to messages through MyChart in a timely manner. Her notes in the After Visit summary do not reflect what she said during the visit. And she is inconsistent with her follow up instructions. Mostly, she comes across as if she really can’t be bothered to treat the patient.

Obviously not a real doctor... simple getting paid to collect co-pays.

If you want to pay for her to tell you to moisturize...she's your dr. She know very little. Telling me HUMIRA will cure psoriasis lesions when in fact, it CAN be the opposite especially if your taking it for psoriatic arthritis. That's very basic knowledge "doctor".... Really an idiot.

A waste of money and time. She didn't want to give me anything for my acne. She needs to retire, I can't believe she went to U of M.

The one positive thing I will say is that the have a very nice, respectful and knowledge staff working under the DR's, but besides that; I was beyond disappointed with the care, or I should say lack of Dr. Jackson-Richards gave me. An appointment for an inflamed sist, which typically needs a steroid injection; and she tells me to buy some topical cream from the store. Thanks for that professional advice.... Then I asked her to clean up my black and whiteheads on my forehead, she glanced at my face and told me there was no reason for her to do so and that my skin didn't need it. No, meds given to treat my sore, no injections, NOTHING but a new bandaid..... This woman just wants to collect and not do any work and clearly doesn't listen to her patients concerns. She didn't even send me home with any samples of cream to help treat my face. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone and I certainly will not be returning.

It felt like she was in a hurry to get out of the office and that she didn't care to meet with me. She did not listen to anything that I said. Granted, she is more educated on the issues than I, but she could have at least explained things to me. She barely even looked at my skin, and did not offer me any advice. It was a waste of my time and I would not go see her again. You would be better off seeing another doctor.
