Great Doctor!

Dr Sutter recommended I go on a Osteo medication. I was very hesitant to do this. Last year I actually cancelled my appointment to have this done because of it. This year she convinced me I needed it so I took an injection of Prolia. After the injection I was told I might have a few days of general flu like symtoms. I was advised to use a pain reliever and drink plenty of fluids, which I did. Four days later I was so sick with dizziness, nausea, face numbness and achy that I called. I was told to When I called the office due to side effects I was having was problem something going around (a bug) and to continue to get liquids and take pain relieved. If symptoms did not resolve themselves call back Monday. I did. I was told that I must have a bug and call my PCP. I did. I didn’t have any bug that could be found. I was given medication for dizziness and nausea. They helped but not greatly mostly laid on my couch for days. Then a headache kicked in. It was awful. Almost… went to the ER. Luckily it passed but all other symptoms still present. My PCP office was checking on me daily so ordered my a steroid which is helping right now. I call the company that makes Prolia and was told by the company that these side effects are side effects of this medicine and there is no timeline on them. I ask mostly upset that I was bushed off and that my prescribing doctor does not know what medication effects are. I will have to find a new PCP and I complained to the manufacturer of this drug that their doctors need to be educated better by the sales reps so when given such a powerful drug they can also offer support . I worry that when she is telling the next woman about this amazing medication, she will not count me as a side effect as I was brushed off and how many other woman called and were told it is not this medication when it could be! I actually would have emailed this all to this doctor instead of doing this review but there is not email address and obviously she does not believe me enough to get one he phone with me anyway so here I am.

Although the wait time is usually a little long. It’s so worth it because she spends as much time with you as you need and goes over any and every concern you may have

unlike most Drs these days Dr Sutter listens and understands. she is hands on and takes as much time as needed until ALL your questions are all answered and every option is understood. She respects your choices. sometimes at OTHER medical practices you are not recognized or accepted as an individual. If I have to wait, I KNOW that its because the appointment before me is getting the care and treatment that I ALSO WILL GET.

Terrible experience! I was a new patient with symptoms that could be indicative of uterine cancer. I never saw or was even introduced to Dr. Sutter – not even on my first visit; an NP performed all my exams and biopsy. After 16 excruciating days of waiting for my biopsy results (I was told that it would be 4 days!) and about 5 anxious phone calls from me, the secretary finally said flippantly that "everything was fine." No one ever returns calls here so I was left with that "good news" but confused and dissatisfied. It would have been comforting to have talked with a healthcare professional about the possible causes of my symptoms, what to do, and when to schedule any future appointments. I subsequently sent a follow-up letter to Dr. Sutter outlining my concerns about the care I received, but received no response. I have since found a more sympathetic GYN who actually meets her patients on the first visit and is available to answer questions.

I HAVE SERIOUS SENSITIVITY TO MEDS...DR. SUTTER APPLIED A VAGINAL MED WITHOUT TELLING ME BEFORE SHE DID IT. I HAD DISCOMFORT AFTER THAT. SHE ALSO ORDERED 5000 IU OF VIT D AFTER TELLING HER I CANNOT TOLERATE THAT HIGH AMOUNT...SHE ALSO ORDERED 3D MAMMO AND BONE DENSITY TEST FOR ME.. MY RADIOLOGIST TOLD ME THAT IT WAS TOO MUCH RADIATION. I HAD THIS DONE I YEAR AGO...SO I JUST HAD A REGULAR MAMMO. SHE SHOULD WORK WITH PEOPLE AND LISTEN TO THEM...THIS COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS..

The last two times I have gone, the staff were very pleasant and efficient.

I have to say that I am having some global issues with several of my providers! The issue are really not with the docs, but the office staff who lack any customer service skills or compassion! I am and have been in severe abdominal pain since last Sunday. Monday I went to the ER ad based on a CT scan they said to f/u with GYN. I called @ 9a.m. left a message about my problem.... 11am and still no word from office. I called them again and explained the pain I was in and the ER's discharge f/u instructions to see GYN. Nasty little receptionist quite bluntly said she had nothing til Thursday. I asked again if she had something sooner....no. Well ....I guess I will take it! I have to agree with the lack of communication and returning calls also. Very frustrating...I am on the fence about leaving.

I have been going to Dr. Sutter and Stacie Weir for about a year now and have been being treated for menopause symptoms. I very much appreciate their knowledge of the various options out there for menopause symptoms. Where this office falls woefully short is on their service and follow up. I talked a friend into switching to Dr. Sutter's office when I switched - it is so nice to find someone who specializes in this sort of thing. We have both called the office for various questions and issues. It is nothing for the office to not call back. My friend has been calling for the better part of a week now to check on a script which was to be called in to her pharmacy - the women who is supposed to call it in keeps telling my friend she is too busy. Dr. Sutter....you are a good doctor and there is a huge need for your services. PLEASE work on your follow through and service with patients who have issues or questions. Just because you don't have to be on call to delivery infants… doesn't mean you can't dedicate some time to talking with patients who are having a problem on a medication. I am very disappointed and would like to go to a doctor who I know I can call and get some timely help with a problem.
