I strongly urge you to consider seeking care elsewhere. I scheduled an appointment specifically for a Total Body Skin Exam (TBSE) — a preventive screening I’ve done annually for years, which is 100% covered by insurance regardless of deductible. When booking, I selected this exact option, as offered on their app. However, within the first five minutes, I was uncomfortable with the tone and approach of the visit. The nurse conducted the intake in the exam room and asked what I wanted to address. I explained that I was there for a cancer screening and also wanted to discuss a few concerns — spots on my face and scalp, and issues with my nails. She immediately told me that the doctor could only perform the TBSE and that anything else would require a separate appointment. In my experience with previous dermatologists, TBSE appointments have always included a discussion of any other skin-related concerns — which is the point of a full-body preventive screening. When the Dr Dianne De… Leon arrived, I reiterated my concerns. She confirmed that I would need to schedule an additional appointment to address anything beyond the TBSE. While I found that frustrating, I accepted it — until I received my bill. The appointment was incorrectly coded as a standard office visit, not a preventive TBSE. This means it was billed under my deductible, rather than being fully covered. When I called the office to request that the billing be corrected to reflect the actual service I received, I was told by a staff member that Dr. Leon always uses that code, regardless of the service provided. This practice is highly concerning. Misrepresenting a preventive screening as a standard visit is not only misleading — it may deter patients from seeking important, possibly life-saving care in the future. It also raises questions about ethical billing practices, if not outright insurance fraud. I shared my concerns with the office again and stressed the broader implications of this approach — both for patient care and for trust in medical providers. If you’re looking for a dermatologist who prioritizes patient well-being, transparency, and preventive care, please choose someone else.

I strongly advise patients to steer clear of Dr. de Leon. She regularly rushes through exams, dismisses patient concerns, and exhibits poor bedside manner. Moreover, she often charges for treatments she considers outside the scope of standard exams without informing the patient in advance. Such behavior is unacceptable for a healthcare professional, and she should consider a career away from direct patient interaction.

Was one of the first apts of the day. Dr. de Leon looked at my skin for less than 10 secs. She was dismissive, hurried, and made zero effort to look at all the damage from my condition. Said I had dry skin, wrote me up for Zyrtec and threw some sample lotion at me. Worthless appointment. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Dr de Leon is friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient. She wastes no time, but her examination is thorough and her prescriptions and therapies are sound. She has been very helpful to me and I recommend her highly.

She did not meet my expectations. I don’t recommend no one go to see her.

Doesn't know the products she recommends...and rushed the appointment. I could have continued guessing what products to use. I left confused. I feel that I should have learned something after a dr. Visit.
