Dr. Dianne Thomas, MD

Because her office is quite far from mine and because of COVID, we arranged to have phone appts which I thought was very accommodating of her. My first impression was positive although I did feel she was short with me at times during that and following appts. I had a total of 3 appts with her and had a 4th booked for Sept. She called to confirm the day before & said she would call me at the appt time, which was our normal procedure. Everything appeared to be fine. The day and time of the appt, she did not call. I tried calling her several times to no avail; she did not pick up or return my phone calls. I had no response/explanation from her. I found this to be unprofessional and decided to just find a new doc. 3 months later I receive a $600 bill for this supposed appt that DID NOT occur. Not only is it completely unethical to “ghost” a patient, it is absolutely illegal to bill a patient for services not rendered. I am shocked & disgusted with this her business & medical practices.

That person with the one start review has pretty much copied and pasted her review all over the internet. How can she rate her medical knowledge of she was never a patient there. Anyway, I've had great luck with the Dr. I got a weekend appointment and I ran into her outside of the office once. She of course said hi, and was plesant. Overall very professional and courteous.

This lady is crazy! She is absolutely rude and the least bit concerned for her patient! My daughter and I sat in her waiting room for 35 minutes while she shopped for a cell phone plan...mind you my daughter was vomiting 2x in her bathroom and not once did she even ask if she was ok! I am actually looking to report this horrible lady because I wouldn’t even call her a doctor! She’s a joke! Also...I was also offended because when I did walk in her office she seemed almost offended that I was a white woman because she stood in her doorway just staring at us so uncomfortably until I said to her that I was the one who called and you told me to be here at 1pm. It was at that point she turned around and mumbled something to the effect that she was just sitting down for a snack and she will be with us shortly. Well needless to say at 1:40 I was still sitting in her waiting room alone with my daughter while she did her bills! I then took my insurance forms back and walked out! ??

I suffered from ADHD as a child and it continued into adulthood. Minus the extreme hyperactivity, I exhibited every other symptom. I was previously diagnosed with ADHD. My illness was making my life difficult and I needed help. She was informed of my previous illness, but she seemed to ignore my concerns or the reason I was even there. Not once did she ask me anything to do with ADHD, but all her questions were about depression. Long story short she tells me I am not ADHD and was misdiagnosed as a child, but I was depressed all along. This woman is a joke, in her mind she knew me better than the other doctors who I saw for a total of 10 years. I am surprised anyone would continue to employ her. She does not care about her patients concerns or well being. If you still want to book an appointment with Revitalizing Psychiatry, specify that you do not want Dianne Thomas.

I saw Dr. Thomas for about a year and a half, and I wish I hadn't seen her past my second appointment. During a non-routine "emergency" visit when I felt hopeless, Dr. Thomas told me that there was nothing she could do for me and that my intrusive, constant suicidal thoughts were a part of my illness and that I would have to deal with it. I left feeling more hopeless, helpless, and terrible than I did before I went in - and that is an understatement. Beyond that, she always rushed me out of appointments, and throughout my time seeing her, she never offered me any care of substance. It may sound harsh, but the only thing she was good for in my case was prescribing the medications that I suggested to her (I'm a psychiatric nurse). I recently needed a refill of my mood stabilizers, and after my pharmacy sending 3 requests to her over a week and no response, I called her and after a hard time of reaching her, she told me she would send in the prescription for my refills that day. Not only… did she not know what medications or dosages I was even on and I had to tell her (I could have made up anything!), but she didn't send them to the pharmacy that day like she said she would, and she knew I was running extremely low and needed them in the next few days. During this time, I had to desperately cut a few of my old pills from the month before in order to have my dose which gave me two extra days. The following day, I called her again and left her another message, and she later left me a message that she would call them in that day. She did not. I then called her - and I kid you not - 15+ times on her office phone and 15+ times on her "cell" phone throughout the course of the next day and left her numerous messages basically asking what was going on and that I needed my medication. Nothing. I went through the next day (yesterday) without my medication and endured terrible withdrawal effects - dizziness, nausea, lightheadedness, shaking, sweating, anxiety, irritability, and generally feeling dissociative and unwell, like I was on the verge of losing control (not to mention I could have had a seizure, no big deal). During that day in the middle of work I called her multiple times and left numerous messages, again, and heard nothing from her. Finally, late last night, I called my pharmacy yet again to check and they had the prescription for the refills. Even then, though, she forgot to send them a piece and I had to wait even longer. Once I got to the pharmacy, they had to verify my dosages with me because she was so unclear on the phone with them. Today, my mood and body are still off and I have a terrible migraine that won't subside. Negligence by a psychiatrist that caused her patient with bipolar disorder to go without her medication for a day, endure so much stress trying to get ahold of her, and never even calling her after the situation to apologize, is unforgivable. This negligence might even be illegal. I would never recommend this doctor to anybody.
