Dr. Dickie Kay, MD

Been working with Dr. Kay for half a year. For starters, he didn’t make me wait months to finally see him. He faces towards you and speaks to you like a you’re actually a human (I know, crazy huh, But I’ve had bad experiences with others) and for people with bad social anxiety, that seriously helps open up things or personal issues that we may not initially feel comfortable discussing despite his sole reason is to help you. Addiction specialist, along with depression, anxiety, ADHD, but one of the few physicians I’ve had pleasure of meeting that imforms the patient about their diagnoses, after that, he’ll involve the patient in deciding the best treatment option for that patient and the optimal time during that and and he’ll follow up with to assess and compare how you’re doing after last seeing him. Doing well? Might just keep the regime you’re on. Think you wanna try something else that you heard helped? He’ll make sure you’re good for it and give you the option. He’s your perfect… physician. Approachable, humble, funny, and makes your time feel important, and I wish more psychiatrists took notes on his patient-physician relationship and care.

He is the best psychiatrist I have ever gone too. This is why I have been going to him over 2 years, ever since the first appointment. He is extremely fair with insurance and payments/fees. He ALWAYS asks you about all the questions belonging to your feelings, and how you are doing. He sincerely wants his patients to be the absolute best, and unlike every other doctor i have met... He is just about the ONLY one who treats you as an equal. Human to human. NOT like a psychiatrist, making you feel that he knows best about what medications. NO. My doc, Dr. Kay, works along side and let’s you discuss different types of medications that you think may help you. I really hope to keep seeing him for a long time.

Wish we had more like Dr Kay in the medical field god knows we need it, he does his job well and is a cautious (gauging data by questionnaires every appointment) and morally good person. I only see him for prescriptions and am not sure if he even gives therapy now but he is a very good psychiatrist which is hard to find

Dr. Kay is the most effective Doctor I have ever seen and is very up front about how he wants to treat me. He also leaves me options, such as it all depends on the degree of what I can handle". His visitation questionnaires gives him a benchmark to measure my progress. I highly recommend this doctor.

Best doctor ever. Listens to everything and cares about every patient. He lets you decide what you think you need with his help for medication for ADHD/Anxiety/Depression....he lets you try out medicine that works for you and never judges. The best and nicest doctor ever.
