Dr. Diego J Herbstein, MD

Dr. Herbstein is a top Neurologist, who understand the process and involvement of our NCS in various diseases. He help to manage my lower back pain prior to my (Anterior Lumbar Intra-body Fusion ALIF) of L4-S1. After more than a decade, I still manage my lumbar pain with his prescription instead of opiates.

I was recommended to Dr. Herbstein by my regular doctor for tingling in my feet and hands. The staff was very nice and scheduling was easy. The initial visit went fine but seemed like he was just going thru the motions, i had to repeat a few times what was bothering me and what I thought may have caused it (tick bite). Scheduled some blood work and MRI's, once these tests were done it took over a week to finally get a phone call back from the doctor and in this call once again i had to explain my symptoms. In the end the MRI's came back fine but i still have the tingling, his next step was to call him in a month if it persists. Thanks but i am not waiting for that, I will go and see a doctor who listens. Find another doctor if you want someone who is responsive.

I waited an hour to see him. He looked at about 10 other patients results while i was sitting right in front of him. Then took a call on his cell. Proceeded to ask me questions then took two more cell phone calls. He examined me and recieved another call and TOOK IT!!!!!!!! This dr is horrible please aviod him! He was very disinterested in caring for gos patients. His secretary was rude and disrespectful! Horrible experience!!!

He has zero bedside manner and was checking his blackberry while talking to me. Has loud classical music on in office while meeting patients.

I agree with the other reviewers. Dr Herbstein took a personal cell phone call and fiddled with his Blackberry during my exam. It was a very quick consult and he was pretty clearly disinterested in my case.

First the office staff gave the wrong directions, nasty & RUDE. over the phone & in person, more concerned about gossip then patients. NOW as for the Dr. day I saw him he showed up very late, his wonderful staff didn't bother to mention he was running late! When I finally got into his office he asked what the visit was for, while listening to my symptoms he starts to play with his blackberry THEN says "what were you saying" I would NOT recommend this Dr. to anyone, Good Luck to those who do see him, this guy is FAR from Professional along with his staff!
