Dr. Dieter Wilhelm Sumerauer, MD

My son and I both love Dr. Sumerauer! We follow-up every 3 months and he's always very friendly and seems to really care about us. He doesn't rush through our appointments and he's always very strait forward and honest. I work in an ob/gyn and I always recommend him to new parents when I hand them our list of local pediatricians :)

I have just started with Dr Sumerauer as my 7 year old son's pediatric doctor. He was very knowledgeable and when he met us for my son's ADHD evaluation. He made my husband and I feel comfortable with the diagnosis and the possible ahead. We felt very relieved after discussing our son's disorder and his future is looking brighter already under Dr Sumerauer's care.

Dr. Sumerauer is a truly caring and wonderful doctor! I have 4 children and have seen him on many occassions and I never feel rushed or like he is not listening to me. He is warm and very friendly and I am so happy to have found him. Trust me, I am a "needy" mom, who requires lots of information and Dr. Sumerauer takes his time explaining everything until I am comfortable. I will never take my children anywhere else! Oh, and he has Saturday hours, which is a great bonus!!

Best pediatrician and trust me I researched for several months. He truly cares about his patients and makes sure the parents are on a happy level !!!

I first met Dr. Sumerauer when I was pregnant with my daughter in 2000 and we've been with him ever since. She has had pediatric mental health problems and Dr. Sumerauer was absolutely fantastic with all of us. He was good for my daughter and prescribed effective treatments while being very reassuring and validating to me. On one appointment my daughter found a toy whale on the floor in the exam room and asked him if she could have it. He said no because he needed to keep it in case someone reclaimed it, but if it was there the next time she came it would be hers. Several months later we came in for a visit and the first thing he did was hand her the whale, as it had not been claimed in all that time. He remembered! She kept it on her bedside table for almost a year - I think that says it all.
