I walked into to the office scared. I did not know what to expect or how the process was going to be. When I walked in I was greeted with a smile. The staff was really nice to me and didn't seem to judge me. They made me feel welcomed and excited to begin my new lifestyle.

I informed the staff when making my appointment of my anxiety and that it would be best if I could have my wife present who also was a potential patient. As soon as we arrived the blonde was instantly rude and yet when the lighter completed ppl checked in she greeted with a smile. It's disheartening to be treat in such a manner because of the color of my skin just wanted to lose weight

I have been to Dr. Gaan's before, I lost weight and then did the same thing I always do, I quit after a while. What happened? I regained the weight and more. I felt like I was on a wheel, diet, lose, stop before I should, regain and on and on. I was miserable, so over weight with out of control eating. Finally realized I cannot do this on my own and went back. This is when I got it, its not a diet plan its a change of life. I had to change the way I ate and how I thought about food. Dr Gaans plan helped me the 2nd time around. I began to see how I am supposed to eat and was grateful for their advice and encouragement. Its my fight but they are there to guide you into living healthy and feeling great!

Was referred by my PCP after being diagnosed with Type2 Diabetes. After being rushed through a few tests, to the point where I could not even put my shoes back on after my height and weight or time to tuck back in my shirt after an EKG, I was given a bag with a food scale, a plate and a "personalized" diet plan. I was then put in a room with a NP, who was appaled that my PCP had not put me on insulin, and admonished me for a few other issues, I explained I thought this was not what I expected, and thought I would get some counseling on diabetes and how to manage it... but instead I got a standard diet and the only thing personalized was a sheet of paper inserted with my name on it. I then ask if with upcoming vacation and work travel followed by a surgery that will require a liquid diet for 2 weeks, If I should wait to start... she got visibly upset and said well if you don't want to commit?. I apologized and asked to try and explain again... I said I would basically be out of town or… on a liquid diet for the next 6 weeks and would it be better to start after all that... she got up and said fine we will just reschedule you. then she stated that I could not leave with anything, including my "personalized" diet plan... even though I paid my co-pay... it was a horrible experience and I will not be doing this gimmick program. PLEASE read BBB complaints and other reviews before you give these scam artists your money!

I started this system about a week ago and have lost a significant amount of weight for so short a period. But, I cannot get past my office visit tho. There is NOTHING personal about this system. No discussion of YOU. I watched a video and then had a nurse who was basically regurgitating a script with all the warmth of a rusty robot. They didn't even tell me my weight at weigh in! No one was friendly with the exception of the front desk and the phlebotomist. I know I have a co-payment but they wouldn't take it, which worries me, after reading other reviews. Anyone with a weight problem knows that 80% of the journey is psychological, you'll get NONE of that here. And definitely nothing personal in the way of encouragement or ways in which you may customize this for you & your life. I'm continuing, but only with GREAT CAUTION.

This lifestyle change is not a diet. The education and support from DOH is amazing. I've lost almost 50 pounds but have changed my mindset to become and stay healthy.

Just completed the six weeks and lost 25 lbs. I only cheated once when going to a holiday party. I had 2 glasses of wine, which caused me to gain weight for 2 days...otherwise, I lost a pound per day to begin with, then it slowed to 1/2 lb. per day, and now I am losing a pound every 3rd day.. I will need to stay on this same first 6 weeks diet for a while longer...so it is getting harder to be enthused. I want to expand my eating options, but I now know I will immediately gain weight if I cheat and it will take me longer to get where I need to be. I ran into a lady that lost 80 lbs, on this diet and gained it all back plus some....don't want that to happen to me! I will end up being a slave to this diet and no longer be able to have a cinnamon roll or chips and salsa without consequences.

My experience with this whole scam of a "diet" plan was one of dis-belief. Not only are they ripping you off, they don't even use medical procedures or or trained staff as promised. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I thought when I went there it would be uplifting and encouraging but instead it was bleak and the staff was very unfriendly. The atmosphere was very depressing.I would not recommend this to my enemy.Do Atkins and don't go near this staff

Think twice before going to this center. Even though a person may call to cancel an appt 2 days to a week prior to appt, the receptionist dropped me as a patient. Not only was this receptionist was more concerned about the money, she abruptly hung the phone while i was speaking. I was doing very well on the program but still needed to be seen. Ashame Dr Gann hired such a rude and uncaring recetionist. It was all about the money, not my health.
