Dr. Weerasinghe and his entire staff are absolutely amazing: professional, caring, and attentive. My whole experience at both offices at RGH & Unity were positive ones. I was able to book my initial consultation appointment in an impressive timely manner, and they walked me through the entire process for bariatric surgery. I love the fact that Dr. Weerasinghe is a pioneer in opioid-free anesthesia; and after bariatric surgery, my pain was managed without narcotics!!! I didn’t have the brain fog or other issues associated with narcotics after surgery. The two-week liquid diet before surgery was hard for just the first few days, and the concept is intelligent for surgery and recovery. I’m only 9 days post-op, and only had minimal discomfort for the first five days post op! The gratitude I have is immeasurable!

Dr. Weerasinghe is a fantastic doctor and an awesome surgeon. When I was diagnosed with severe diverticulitis, he performed a very difficult surgery to remove my sigmoid colon and part of my rectom. I am indebted to him for giving me a pain free new life.

Dr Weerasinghe is an extremely knowledgeable, competent, caring and compassionate doctor. He stepped up, when he didn’t have to do so, and performed an emergency surgery on me that was fixing problems caused by another procedure and doctor that happened a few days earlier. He didn’t hesitate, he simply did what needed to be done to correct the problem and put me on a schedule of care that would ensure quick healing and a sound path to my recovery. I highly recommend Dr Weerasinghe and would be honored for him to provide care to any of my family, friends or loved ones.

I am glad to have met Dr Weerasinghe who saved my mothers life when she came in to hospital with her stomach twisted. Without surgery she would have died. He had a calm demeanor and promised to take good care of her, and which he did. I was amazed that he was able to perform such a big operation with a few small cuts. I am so happy that he was there to perform the surgery. He is was so down to earth and was very approachable. It was only later that I realized that he is indeed a world class surgeon invited by many to perform surgery and share his expertise worldwide. Our community is truly blessed to have surgeon of his stature.

He really took good care of me during my recent admission to the Medical center of Trinity. He performed my surgery with small cuts and I had a quick recovery. It was like I never had surgery. He has great bedside manners and is a very cheerful doctor. Not may around like him.

I have never seen a doctor who truly cares about his patients more than Dr W. He is skilled and was luck to have him as my surgeon when I was admitted through the emergency room. I had surgery with him and had a quick return back to work. What is most impressive was the fact that he treated me so well in the hospital and truly put my comfort at the forefront of his care.

I had surgery with Doctor W when I was taken to hospital with a serious problem. He saved my life and is eternally greatful. May he and his family be blessed. He has recently left his practice in portcharlotte I plan on following him. I am happy he is still local and will definitely have surgery done by only him.

He truly is a very good surgeon. But what truly sets him apart is the fact that he cares about his patients. He is a gem of a doctor.god bless him.

I have been a patient of Doctor W for a few months following his weight loss program. It came as a shock when I got to know that he was moving to Tampa. I have and seen first hand and heard how great his work from the patients in the support and personally love his great personality love his manners. I am following him to Tampa to have my surgery and have great trust in him.

I had bariatric surgery done in Fortmyers and ended up very sick. I called my Dr who did the surgery for nearly two days without much luck and finally ended at the Fawcett Hospital. I Met Dr W who was honest upfront and very good care of my problem. I am3 months in to the miserable event and thank my savior Dr W whom I wish had known before I had my surgery.
