Dr. Dilip L Solanki, MD

I couldn't imagine anyone more fitting to see than Dr. Solanki. He started our first enounter with a question: "What do you know about breast cancer?" Based on my answer, he began to walk me through the truths and myths of this disease, the treatments, long-term outlooks, and what I could expect over the next several months. His range of knowledge is vast, and CURRENT. His presentation of information is direct, yet simple and to the point. He has great empathy for his patients, and that caring attitude is ever-present. He's a great believer in diagramming and explaining things visually. That way of doing things meshed wonderfully with the visual way my husband and I sort through all type of issues. He was a conduit for our interactions with Dr. Henderson (radiation oncologist) and Dr. Koonsman (surgeon). Together, they make a wonderful team, each aware of the others' interactions, and all totally commited to me getting well. I couldn't be any more happy, to have had them with… me along this journey. The office staff was terrific, waiting times reasonable, scheduling considerate of my needs, and responsive to all and any question I might have. I was never rushed, and always felt better after spending time together with my doctor(s). I highly recommend Dr. Solanki and the rest of the Texas Oncology team.
