Dr. Dimitrios James Zaronias, MD

I was diagnosed with avascular necrosis (AVN) in both shoulders in April 2022 by Dr. Zaronias. I was told that total reverse shoulder replacement is very painful and a long process. Dr. Zaronias’ professionalism and compassion put my mind at ease. He is an excellent listener, communicator, and explains technical information in layman’s terms. Lastly, he has an outstanding bedside manner. The shoulder replacements are now behind me and I am pain free! I highly recommend Dr. Zaronias.

Use extreme caution when trusting this man. He did a labrum repair for me 6 years ago. From the start I complained of it feeling “too tight” and feeling crooked. He sewed it so tight it actually pushed my shoulder back. The way it wore over the last several years completely destroyed my shoulder. I just had to undergo total replacement of that shoulder due to the anchors not only being too tight but at least two extra anchors placed where not needed nor made sense. One was in the cartilage! Seeing the photograph of what my current surgeon encountered, she took one because could not believe it, was disturbing to say the least. Save yourself and do the homework on whom you are trusting with your body. If they won’t listen when you say something isn’t right, talk louder.

Dr. Z did a phenomenal job on my shoulder. He fixed a torn rotator cuff and cleaned my shoulder up. I couldn't be happier with the results. THANK YOU!

3 years post hip surgery and haven't experienced anymore pain! He was very straight forward with me and did a great job. I can ski, scuba dive, hike... no more pain!! Thanks Dr. Z!

Very professional, answered all questions that my teenager had as she was very nervous. Came out of pre op appointment, confident and less nervous. Surgery was amazing, no bruising. Daughter was off pain meds within 48 hours.

He’s amazing! Listens and comes up with solutions with you, when it finally came down to surgery I had an amazing experience and always had my questions answered, my pain is gone!!

Disrespectful, dismissive, angry. Normal questions provoke confrontive behavior. Clearly dislikes women; patronizing. Do not suffer with this man as your orthopedic doctor.

Seemed uninterested in his work; communication skills are poor. Several missteps regarding record review - apparent he didn't prepare (or remember) me from visit to visit.

I had a horrible experience. I am post op 3 months tibia plateau fracture. Did not believe me when I told him I was in pain. Ordered me Elavil for nerve pain only. I felt like he did not listen to me at all.
