Should not be treating patients in Intensive Care Unit! Terrible communicator. Inappropriate interventions/treatments. Incompetent physician.

I’m unsure of whether it was because she felt my aunt and uncle were uneducated or if she assumed that the rest of the family was simply going to accept her behavior. Maybe it was because of her patient’s background that she made it known his life did not matter to her. She refused to interpret a conversation involving end-of-life care because they had, “heard it about 10 times already.” I had to remind her that part of her job was to make sure that the family had an interpreter. She then said that a POA could not be transferred to another party if both parents legally relinquished those rights. She also stated that there was no legal responsibility to provide a certified interpreter and made me interpret the technical conversation regarding my family member’s condition rather than allowing me to simply be a family member in the conversation. Without knowing who I am, she attempted to showcase that she knew the law better than I do, which not only can be technically argued, but is also… obviously disproved by her lack of legal knowledge. The only reason I will not be following up with her legally is because it doesn’t bring my loved one back from the dead and I don’t disagree with her medical diagnosis. However, she was insensitive and ignorant and I will be casting a formal complaint with Northwest Hospital. She may be a hospitalist, but I will make sure that my review is taken into consideration when her contract is under review. If I have to contact the administration on a quarterly basis just to make sure that this issue remains fresh in their minds, I will. You should’ve asked for my area of expertise, Dr. Torres-Millikan. I may appear young, but looks can be deceiving. Your area of weakness just happens to be my area of practice; like I said before, the only reason I do not plan on suing you is because I just so happen to be the one in my family who doesn’t deny your scientific/medical opinion. However, no matter what your degree says, you are one of the most uneducated providers I have ever dealt with. (I will now post this on any website that allows me to review your performance).

I think it's just a job to her, not really concerned with you. No follow up whatsoever ever.

One of the most dedicated,caring M.D.s to be found anywheres, esp Tucson. Her smile is sufficient to make you feel better and easily establishes rapport with both patient and spouse. A rare jewel and a credit to the medical profession.

YOu will really love this Physician. She is very different. Her Staff is great and care about the patient. If you have a Mother, Sister or daughter and they need a long term referal, She's it. I can't say enough great things. A friend who is a Doctor referred her to me and they were right. Not may Great DR's aroung and I am so glad to had her for the last 5 years.

Best Dr. I had during my 8 years in Tucson. I was sad to leave her when we moved back to the east coast. I couldn't replace her.
