Dr. Dinesha Thilangika Weerasinghe, MD

Dr. Weerasinghe was rude. She did not address my primary concerns when I met with her. She focused on the goals of the health network and ignored me ( the paying customer). The office she works out of didn't call me back when I reported the bad experience and her lack of attention to my primary concerns. You just can't trust people like this with your health. If they don't ask you about your health concerns or the reason for your visit, then you know they aren't focused on you. If they spend their time talking to you about tests you don't need and asking questions about problems you don't have.... then clearly they don't have your best interest in mind. There is no excuse for this kind of service in the healthcare industry. Pathetic.

This doctor took time diagnosing me and in the end she saved me from disaster. Other doctors wrongly diagnosed me, but she saw through to the real problem. I'd trust this doctor with anything.

As another reviewer experienced, my regular pcp (who is amazing) was not available and I had to see Dr. Weerasinghe for a routine physical instead. She kept emphasizing that now that I am over 40, I really need to have a routine physical on a yearly basis, This was the first time in years that I had not had a yearly physical and my previous one was less than two years prior to this. If what she did with me today was the yearly physical she was referring to, I won't waste my time because she did absolutely nothing that would make a yearly physical necessary. She also talked right over me, even when I was attempting to answer her questions. She asked me if I had any concerns and then proceeded to talk right over me again when I attempted to share them with her. When I persisted, she suggested a specialist that was completely unrelated to the health topic I was attempting to discuss with her. Dr. Weerasinghe would benefit from acquiring the most important skill a physician can have -… listening to their patients and treating as human beings. She is everything that is wrong with our healthcare system.

My usual doctor was not in ( he was the on call dr that week) and I was having pain in my chest and throat so they set me up an appointment with her. She told me it was just stress and anxiety, even when I told her I know what that feels like and it is not that. A week later I saw my regular dr and he had me go get checked for a blood clot. Wasn't that, but it ended up being a reaction to a migrain medicine. She does not listen and only makes the situation worse. On top of that I waited 45 minutes to see her and she gave an excuse it was because I scheduled the day of. Which I didn't. I scheduled two days before.

Wouldnt trust this doctor to take care of a barbie.
