Extremely rude staff

arrived 4-6 min. late for appointment. Was greeted with "well, you ARE late." Nurse made continuous remarks about the fact I was late including telling the receptionist, "Mark him as not here. Mark him as late." right in front of me. I apologized several times but reached a point her passive-aggressive comments bothered me. She told me, "Don't apologize to me. Apologize to the Dr." and told me how inconsiderate I was to the other patients. I told her, "I'm not apologizing to the doctor, he works for me. My insurance pays him." I heard her tell the doctor, "He came in with an attitude." Very rude and unprofessional behavior. You shouldn't gossip and complain about patients when they're in the next room. Dr. seems competent, but sometimes difficult to understand his English.
