Dr. Dipa Harish Patel, MD

I wish I could leave 0 stars. DO NOT GO HERE. Dr Patel is a horrible person, her staff is horrible, her billing team is horrible and as others have written they send bills 3 - 4 years later, with no explanation. They never answer their phones, they are rude, the doctor is never available. I don't know how this place is in business. If you have issues like this, please report the doctor to your insurance company to eventually be dropped if enough complaints made.No one will answer the phone, rude emails, and come to find out Dr. Patel endorses the lack of communication.

Did not go over exam results with me and then I receive a $500+ bill from 2019? No one answers the phone and the email responses back were short and not kind. There are many other places to get a mammogram in this area.

I was presented with an old bill from 2019 out of the blue and billed for two separate dates for the same service. No one will answer the phone, rude emails, and come to find out Dr. Patel endorses the lack of communication. I won't be back. Ended up with $1100 bill for mamograms and images with great insurance.

Dr. Patel is very sweet, but I have to give a low rating because she discussed my exam results with me in the hallway instead of in a private room. Although my results were not bad, I found it very embarrassing. Billing and customer service have been awful. I will not return.

No one answers the phone. Meaningful Use defeated if I patients have to go in the office just to ask question or verification. What a dismay.

I really like Dr. Patel and have been a patient several years. This year after my annual exam, I was asked to meet with "Accounting". I was taken to a unused patient room (looked like may have been for storage). A young lady informed me I owed a back balance each year for 3 years but really couldn't explain what for. Long story short, I received a past due notice for the last three years, I have provided Dr. Patels office copies of cancelled checks, bank statement and a letter. I have yet to receive any other communication except now FINAL NOTICE for $365.24. I leave messages for accounting and receive no phone call back. CRAZY way to do business.

billing is an absolute nightmare--and then nobody in the office responds to emails or phone messages (they won't answer their phones). There is no office manager, and the billing is supposedly outsourced--nobody was able to help me when I showed up in the office either! My insurance company has been desparately attempting to reach them to figure out why there are services I didn't have listed on my bill and why they are having me pay a flat $150 extra for 3-d mammograms and ultrasounds, which ARE covered under my plan. I see Dr. Patel for my annual mammogram and 3D untrasound. She's always very sweet, kind, thorough, doesn't act rushed, and makes sure I understand what's going on. She's biopsied one lump already and is about to do another on a mass. It's a very busy office but she is always worth any extra wait and I feel I'm getting the best care.

I have an annual breast 3-D ultrasound done by Dr. Patel and have been totally pleased with her services. Only way it could be better would be if she moved to Santa Cruz!
