Dr. Dipen J. Parekh. The best of the best in robotic surgery — a true expert in the Da Vinci technique! He makes the impossible possible. He saved my life on January 28, 2026 7:30 AM. I don’t have enough words to say THANK YOU, Doctor. I was so lucky to be under his care. He was completely honest with me before the surgery. My tumor was located in my left kidney, discovered by accident during a CT scan of my thorax (lower section). He explained that the mass was in a very tricky location, difficult to operate on, but that he would do his very best to save part of the kidney through a partial nephrectomy — with the possibility of a total nephrectomy if clear margins could not be achieved safely.The result? Total success. A partial nephrectomy exactly as planned. The tumor was completely and safely removed with clean margins by Dr. Parekh and his excellent team, including Dr. Freitas. They were able to preserve approximately 70% of my kidney.Fifteen days after surgery, I feel very good —… no pain, no concerning symptoms — and I am carefully following all instructions and dietary recommendations. Hopefully, there will be no recurrence in the future. But I am so grateful that I feel I must share with the world how outstanding their care was throughout my health journey. I am also deeply impressed by the exceptional care provided by all the nurses and medical staff who made my two-day stay at UHealth Hospital a truly positive experience. I always felt that they were taking complete care of me — day and night. I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU, first to GOD and the doctors . I owe you my life. I will always remember your skill, dedication, and professionalism.

This doctor cut my right ureter during the course of my robotic prostatectomy, requiring nephrostomy, continuous stent replacement for the past year, and most recently a surgical reimplant of my damaged right ureter. My life has changed and will never be the same. I strongly advise anyone looking for robotic treatment for prostate cancer to avoid this man and the UM facility that employs him.

Bad results ed and urinal incontinence,after 2 months and a half ,no good doctor

I have been a patient of Dr Parekh for 5 years since he performed surgery for my bladder cancer. He is without question a highly skilled, extremely sensitive and very personable physician. He was always responsive to my many questions and I owe my current good health to this man...a class act!

Blessed that Dr. Parekh is now in Miami! In addition to being an excellent surgeon, he is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and caring. He was always reassuring, courteous, and prompt in his follow ups after surgery. His team of doctors and nurses are also top notch and the office environment is a pleasant one.
