Dr. Divina Rosario Verner, MD

My experience was identical in almost every way to the reviewer who speaks about Verner as a person (cold, unfriendly and callous), and like that individual, I agree it would be tolerable if verner were actually a good doctor. She isn't. She is a truly horrid woman and unethical doctor. Despite stacks of medical records from multiple doctors and specialists along with countless types of imaging verifying my diagnosis and the immense pain that went along with it, Verner ALWAYS treated me like a drug seeker. Always with cold, rude suspicion bordering on contempt. I showed up to every single appointment on time, (and she made me come in person every single month and made me take and pay for a drug test every single month), I followed all of the rules of the pain contract, ans she was always so rude and condescending. She prescribed pain medication for quite a long time for me, and then suddenly, for no legitimate reason at all (she invented one (lied), after countless unreturned phone… calls, I received a letter in the mail out of the blue firing me as a patient. She refused to take my call to discuss it, refused to explain herself, refused to write a final prescription (she timed it to be right before I was due for a refill), refused to even prescribe suboxone, offered no other doctor to continue care and THEN she absolutely DID lie about me to every other doctor in order to get me blacklisted and ensure no other pain ddoctor would take me on. The lived of chronic pain patients are difficult enough and that medication is the ONLY thing that allows for any ability to have any sort of life at all. And she knows that too. There used to be COUNTLESS negative reviews ALL of them saying exactly what I and the other reviewer are saying but she must have somehow gotten them taken down. For this to be such a regular and continued pattern of behavior for her, it must be intentional. It seems crazy to say (and mean) it, but I truly belief her to be a sadist. She knows exactly what she is doing and has a very long history of taking on patients, prescribing them opioid pain medications for months or years and then suddenly cutting patients off without cause, and then lying about them in order to purposely get them blacklisted, ensuring that they suffer in terrible pain AND withdrawal and lose their ability to have any sort of life at all. There's no way it can be coincidence. I beg you as a human being and understands what it's like to be a chronic pain patientI beg you as a human being so understands what it's like to be a chronic pain patient and what our and what our needs are such,, for your own sake if you are in search for your own sake if you are in search pain specialist, keep on looking pain specialist, keep on looking and do not go to this doctor and do not go to this doctor!! She has done this too many times to far too many patients She has done this too many times to far too many patients years and years and years and I don't know how she's continued to get away with years and years and years and I don't know how she's continued to get away with it but it's sadistic and but it's sadistic and it's cruel and it could very well happen to you as well. and it could very well happen to you as well. Avoid her at all costs. Avoid her at all costs.

Rather cold and impersonal demeanor, which could be overlooked if she were a great doctor. But she is not. She seems to treat many patients are though they are merely drug seekers, though she will continue to prescribe medication, sometimes for years, before firing patients and leaving them to battle, not only their chronic pain, but also they body's natural physical reaction to suddenly stopping pain medication treatment. She will fire patients with no discussion, providing no solid reasoning, and be so cruel as to even refuse suboxone whilst she also blacklists you with slanderous lies to all other possible treatment providers. Chronic pain patients have a difficult enough life without also being at the mercy of such a sadistic doctor with such utter lack of principles and basic human decency. And although the front desk help is kind and courteous, the same cannot be said for her nurse. She is rude and disrespectful whilst also being thin-skinned and irresponsible, having… difficulty with even the most basic of tasks, such as returning phone calls in a timely manner. Any chronic pain patient would be well advised to stay away from this doctor.
