Dr. Dmitriy N Kosyagin, MD

I have been seeing Dr Kosyagin for years and he and his PA Joe are the best ever they care and listen to all your needs and I totally trust their decisions.. they don't just assume what's going on with you they run the tests needed to keep you healthy and they both have the best bedside manner I ever had in primary Dr.s .. they really take the time to listen and they have never put me on the wrong meds.. and I am allergic to about 1500 man made medicines! give them a try they both are the best and their staff is also just as caring and kind like Ashley and Shan and all their staff! you will be glad you did!

Horrible doctor. Does not take time to listen to your problems, nor does he seem to care. He only has 15 minutes per patient. I went in after getting out of the hospital for 1 month, of course I had some questions. He told me I had to many questions and I would have to make another appt. to ask the rest. Note: appts take at least 3-4 months to get. In my opinion he doesn't listen to your problems. He can be crude and rude. I can't stand going back to him. I have a very serious problem and have to go see a PA. I have notified Southwest Medical I am changing doctors. Thank heavens I do not have to see Dr. Kosyagin anymore.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kosyagin since he's been at SMA. He's always thorough and listens to what I have to say. He will always provide me with a referral if needed. I can't say enough nice things about him.

I am 60 years old and have been fighting muscle spasms. Dr. Kosyagin prescribed something, and before I knew it, I hardly notice the spasms and it has helped with migraines as well. He takes the time to listen to you, takes the time. I am so happy I found him.

Very thorough, I unfortunately have a lot of health issues, but he dealt with them one by one and put a plan in place for each one of the ailments. A doctor who cares!

Dr. Kosyagin is almost everything you'd want in a primary care internist, and I've been with him for seven years. I say almost because a couple of times his opinions about likely diagnoses turned out to be way off base from what specialists later discovered, and he tends to be unfamiliar with anything unusual. However, he's very good about (1) making referrals to specialists, (2) returning messages, refilling scripts, etc. (3) spending time, answering questions patiently and discussing all options, and (4) letting me decide between reasonable options. I'm perplexed by some of the negative reviews... I've always found him to be very courteous and to have a perfectly nice bedside manner.

I walked out of the visit both times feeling uncomfortable because he is arrogant and dismissive. My husband was there with me this time,so he seemed to be a little more helpful but did not want to give me a referral to a cardiologist when I requested a referral to review my hospital visit records. He reluctantly put one in telling me it would probably be refused. I explained I would pay for a cardiologist consult and did not need his referral if it came down to that.

This man has the worse bedside manners in the universe. He is just plain rude.

Dr. Kosyagin has been my primary care doctor for many years. It's nice having a doctor who knows your history. He's always been very professional and very caring.
