Dr. Doertlis Kuschel Schultze-Allen, MD

I had a poor experience with Dr. Schultze-Allen. Her refusal to order a routine lab test for my condition seemed unnecessary.

This doctor, along with every other Kaiser Permanente doctor has decided to not treat people with chronic illnesses with the proper due diligence required. It is a shame that this institution and doctors like this exist.

Dr. Schultze-Allen was physician to my 89-year-old mother-in-law, who was living in a reputable, rather pricey assisted living facility. During flu season when the on staff medical team dismissed her symptoms, the doctor actually perceived it may be more, and contacted us to get her to the emergency room. Even there the staff were ready to release her. We refused to take her, insisting they keep her overnight. It actually turned out to be internal bleeding from stomach ulcers. The next day she did have a bleedout followed by a stroke. It was a blessing she was in the hospital because they were able to somewhat stabilize her long enough for all family to gather at her bedside. She did die the next day, but is was painless we are told, and we were all there. If Dr. Schultze-Allen hadn't the perception to call her to the hospital, we would only have heard that she died at the facility, with no time to be with her or for her passing to be eased.
