Abusive and horrific treatment. Dr SantaMaria missed multiple things on my MRI, was recommending treatment that would have severely affected my brain. When I complained so I could get the right care, 5 months later she went on to yell at me for 10 minutes in a my appointment and gaslight me.

Well let me start off by saying if you’re overweight in the least bit she will degrade you at all the appointments. I feel that they don’t listen to the patient and the answer is always more medicine. Furthermore, even if you’re allergic to a medicine they want you to take it with Benadryl. Even after getting hives while taking said medication. She will totally make you feel like you don’t matter like you’re a number after the few appointments. Today she told me that because of my weight nothing they do medicine wise will help me. They only want the money not to worry about the patients.

I was sent to several drs just to be told everything was in my head. I went to Dr Santamaria and she diagnosed me with Neuropathy. She put me on medication that helped a lot. She left and a new dr took over. He decided to change my medication because some idiot decided to overdose on this kind of medication. The medication he gave me has destroyed my stomach. I sit down and eat just to puke it back up most of the time. My stomach is so torn up and it don’t help the pain. He redone the test she done and then done a biopsy and I have small fiber neuropathy and arthritis but refuses to change my meds. I’m wanting to find Dr Santamaria and go to see her, she will help me.

Mine were incurable, to her, she gave up on me “blaming me” for being on medicine she knew I was on and she made me a part of her lidocaine study to “help me” and I was on Fentanyl (as prescribed) because SHE did not do her responsibilities as a doctor and assume responsibility when the doctor a found it in my blood work... A doctors word is over a patients but documented medical fact shows if she truely try to help me she would have actually studied my case... lesson learned, don’t trust a doctor on what they say unless they put it in writing otherwise they forget and blame you and say it’s because of “all the medicine you are on”. I recommend many neurologists just not her, any neurologist but this amateur Md.

Tracy Robinson who works in the office is very disrespectful and rude. Not sure how she is with other patients or even staff members, but the way she spoke to me as she was slamming things around on her desk was not professional at all.

The office staff is great. Dr. Santamaria is good as well. She is very sweet but she is never on time. We have waited in her office for hours a number of times. After waiting for a hours the office staff asks if we can reschedule!!. We dont live close to her office. To reschedule it costs more gas money and more missed work.

I HAVE HAD A FEW VISITS WITH DR SANTAMARIA SO FAR VERY PLEASED , HAS A LOT OF COMPASSION FOR HER PT AND MIGRANES ! SHE IS VERY EDUCATED ABOUT MIGRANES EXPLAINED THING'S TO ME TO MAKE ME UNDERSTAND WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH ME THAT THREE OTHER NEUROLOGISTS AND ONE OTHER HEADACHE SPECIALIST NEVER EXPLAINED !!!!!!!!!!! HIGHMARK DENIED THE GAMMACORE SHE WANTED ME TO USE FIRST SAYING IT WAS EXPERAMENTAL THEN THE THREE COMPANIES THAT SUPPLIED IT WERE OF COURSE OUT OF NETWORK ! IMAGINE THAT! SO WE ARE WAITING FOR APPROVAL FOR BOTOX INJECTIONS NOW ??? But I WILL FOLLOW THRU WITH DR SANTAMARIA SHE HAS GIVEN ME WAY MORE HOPE THEN THE OTHER DR'S , WEST PENN NEEDS TO GET MOVING ON OPENING THE INFUSION CENTER FOR MIGRANES THAT DR SANTAMARIA WILL GIVE DIFFERANT INFUSIONS AND STOP MAKING THE MIGRANE PT WAIT FOR TREATMENT !

She is the best and has helped me so much

I had a seizure and she was the doc that saw me in the hospital. She explained everything to me and took her time to make sure I understood.

She has been my doctor for many many years before i had my first child, after being prescribed xanaxs since I was a teen, I finally got help and got off them by going to rehab. Almsot Three years clean, i went for a visit with her, and even after reminding her that I had been to rehab to get off of them she still mqnaged to call them in. Of course I relapsed. I said I would be ok start over, then again, I missed an appointment and they called tk tell me I had an appointment, I didn't go, then they called me from her office to inform me that she wouldn't be there she had called my medications in. Apparently I thought I could control it. I was wrong. Not once but twice has she managed to call in a controlled aunstance with me have only seen her once in many years. I have relapsed three times in the past 6 months. I know I was the one that made the choice to take them, bit if it wouldn't have been for her, I would be well on my way to four years clean and sober. Now im starting over from… the bottom, not only has it almost cost me my kids, but the love of my life. Doctors should pay more attention to their patients their problems and theur history.
