Dr. Domenic Anthony Monaco, MD

Will be reporting this dr. To the NY state medical board. I contacted him about a vacation I was taking out of the country for 3 months and I was told I didnt need to see him but another Dr. For shots for travel and so I did exactly as I was instructed and when I went to call in my medicine only 7 of the 15 was called in he said I needed to see him before he called in my scripts meanwhile I'm out of the country 5000 miles across the Atlantic ocean for 3 months and he knew this in a country where my insurance isnt accepted. Now here is my problem I am a nurse and one of the medications I am taking is klonopin 3 mg a day 1 mg 3x a day for bipolar disorder, panic disorder, anxiety disorder, PTSD, insomnia, and ADHD and these meds after years of taking cannot be stopped without severe withdrawal and possible convulsions!!! What kind of a dr. Does this to a patient? After a week long call to his office where I sat sometimes 1 hr waiting on the phone at 2.99 a min for the bill I still… havent spoken to the Dr.himself. I am a Nurse and i have never abused medications in my life in fact i went to Casac school to be a drug and alcohol substance abuse counselor???? So what is the problem here??? This is my father's doctor. My dad just lost his wife and he needs an antidepressant. He gave my father samples which equalled 18 pills! What is that gonna do? So, I called the officeand requested that the doctor call him immediately. My dad called and left messages. I told them that the antidepressants he was given, my father had before & did not work. Either the staff never told the doctor to call or the doctor just never did. Even after I told the staff that if. anything happens to my dad, it is on their heads. They asassured me the doc would call my dad and he never did. Just wait till I call them tomorrow!! To me, this doctor is incompetant
