Dr. Domingo Anthony Lee, MD

Dr. Lee was my Dr. years ago, and he was a god send, I am so blessed that I met him and had him as my Dr. I had dealt with many Endocrinologists and Family Physicians that tried there best to manage the Hashimotos disease I have combined with complete thyroid removal with no success, in fact as a result I was extremely ill under other Dr's care and for the many years I was under there care and spent countless visits in and out of the hospital as a result over many years and I wasn't getting better only worse before he met me and several years later when we relocated cross country, I honestly and my family thinks the same I was in such bad shape before I met Dr. Lee and the several years later when we moved cross country I really do not believe, I'd still be walking on this earth without, Dr. Lee's excellent care and his nurse Lori's care over the years, they have been so wonderful. He was the only Dr. that I ever met and I met many with Military relocation and moves over the over 23… years that my spouse was in the military but, No Dr. had a true understanding of the disease and how it was affecting every aspect of my body n brain and how to level out my medication I had struggled hard with this disease for over 26 years and it was 23 years since I was diagnosed. Dr. Lee has been the only Dr. to ever get my levels right in the 23 years since I was diagnosed and he was the only one that truly invested the time and cared to do so and cared abt. me and my life and well being. I don't want to think where I'd be without him... Dr. Lee is incredibly smart, patient and understanding and thorough as well as Professional and caring I have never had another Dr. like him in my almost 45 years. Dr. Lee and Nurse Lori are wonderful. I have been flying cross country to see him for several years now hes just that good in fact I have been told he even has patients coming to see him from overseas also. I've never found better and I was a patient of his for a few years before when I lived in Indiana. I'm scared to think what will happen and who will manage my care and medication if god forbid anything would ever happen to Dr. Lee or if he ever retires. I depend on Dr. Lee Heavily, without his care I really don't think and like said my family doesn't believe I'd still be alive I was that sick for so long and getting worse rapidly and daily. I wouldn't be able to function at all without him having me on the correct synthroid and cytomel and monitoring my blood levels a few times of the year that he does and without my appointments to see him in his office. I just hope That Dr. Lee and Nurse Lori Know how important they are to me as a patient and what a difference , that they have made in my life and my family's life and that we all hold them both in the highest regard and am so grateful to them both. Also this is important to know and note even though I have 2 insurances my insurance unfortunately, does not pay Dr. Lee and Nurse Lori what they deserve, so I can tell you and promise you first hand that Dr. Lee took me on again as a patient cross country out of the kindness of his huge heart and I will be forever grateful for that and all Dr. Lee has done for me and Nurse Lori. God Bless them both. I have also refereed many friends family, business associates neighbors and acquaintances to him without hesitation in Indiana and where I am now on the other side of the country as where I live now there are few Endocrinologists here, and Unfortunately, The Endocrinologists that I have met and dealt with they were not able to manage my health properly or the many thyroid patients that I have met over the years here we all have the same complaints abt. the endocrinologists and level of care here. The Endocrinologists I met had very little understanding of Hashimotos disease the effects that it was having on my brain and body as well as health and well being and how having my thyroid removed effected me drastically and I really started having severe problems 3 years after total thyroid removal and for so many years far too many years I struggled and fought for my life daily until I got under Dr. Lee's care.

Although he may be very good with textbook thyroid cases, he was unwilling/unable to help with my unusual case. I was experiencing some very ill effects before the RIT and after. I was unable to get through to him to get answers...very effective receptionist and nurse insulating him from patients. After a visit, he did advise me to call the office manager. He is very good at getting patients in and out because he spends the allotted 10 minutes. When I had so many questions about my unusal case, he simply walked out of the office while I was in mid-sentence for the next patient. Needless to say, I quit going to him and went to my family physician, who got me straightened out. Not every patient is textbook.

Dr. Lee does not listen to his patients. He is so busy typing his notes and starting to speak what he's writing if the patient asks a question or makes a statement. Additionally, the office staff and aides are unfriendly, never smile, etc.

Although Dr. Lee is very pleasant, one deserves more. I was scolded for checking in late by two of his office staff. Problem wasâ?¦I was there on time. The lady behind the counter was on a personal call. I should have interrupted her. Then, one of Dr. Lee's assistants was beyond rude to me on the phone. His other assistant called me with test results, but when I asked her a question regarding some of my levels, she admitted that she didn't really know much about the test. She offered up an impromptu response that did not even make sense. I'm done. Looking for a new endocrinologist!

Dr.Lee is THE best! If you need a real endocrinologist who really cares, ask only for Dr. Lee

Since my general practitioner was not treating my diabetes adequately, I contacted a friend at Eli Lilly for his recommendation since diabetes is one of their areas of expertise. He checked and recommended Dr. Lee. I have been going to Dr Lee now for over 10 years and am highly satisfied with his assuring a high quality of life for me. My diabetes is fully under control with the medications Dr. Lee has recommended. I remain very satisfied with his work and unquestionably recommend him.

Doctor Lee has given me a better understanding of diabetes. He is a very good listener, explains things in a language I can understand, and gives me a feeling that he truly interested in what I have to say and the questions I ask.

My wife was referred to Dr. Lee by her primary care physician to help deal with a recently-diagnosed thyroid problem she had been having. As it was, it was difficult to even obtain an appointment any sooner than 4 weeks after seeing our PCP.My wife and I had to take an extended lunch from work for the appointment, which wasn't a big deal, but the extra-long wait just infuriated us. After waiting for about 50 minutes in the lobby, we were shown to an exam room where we had to wait for another 15-20 minutes for the doctor. When Dr. Lee finally did show up, he simply breezed into the room without any sort of apology for the wait and then proceeded to rush through our consultation. During te visit, he spent a majority of the time re-going over my wife's previously filled-out paperwork and doing some data entry on the computer in the exam room. We had erroneously assumed that office staff would have at least taken care of that during our extra-long wait.In the end, even though we spent… about 20-25 minutes with the doctor, it felt like we were being rushed through the process so that he could make up time he had lost in an earlier appointment that morning. We got very few answers to our questions and at one point, it even seemed like Dr. Lee was actually mad at us for being pregnant (we were diagnosed just the day before our visits) since it made his job harder.
