Dr. Dominic Frank Heffel, MD

Doctor H reconstructed my left breast with a microsurgery free flap. He took some of my excess abdominal tissue and moved it to my chest and attached it to vessels in my chest. I spent three days in the hospital and went home on a blood thinner for two weeks as a precaution. The reconstructed breast needed some additional volume to match the other side. The doctor liposuctioned fat from my lower back and inner thighs and used that fat to add volume to my breast. My two breasts are roughly the same size now. My buttocks look more prominent because of where I had liposuction. I am quite happy with the result.

I underwent plating of a cheek fracture and repair of an orbital floor blow out type fracture after a motor vehicle accident. I had incisions on the inside of my mouth and near my eyelid in a wrinkle line. You cannot really tell that I have 3 plates in my face! Glad he was there to take care of me.

I underwent a mommy-makeover procedure, tummy tuck and breast augmentation, and had no problems. I am super satisfied with my result. He did some abdominal shaping with liposuction so my abdomen has a young shape that it never really had before. My waist measurement went way down about 4 months after surgery when all the swelling went away. Dr. Heffel came to do a house call follow-up on me on a Saturday, one day after surgery. No one does that anymore. This doctor does fairly complex reconstructions on breast cancer patients and people who have had bad motor vehicle accidents and whatnot. You might meet some of these patients in the waiting room. I did have to wait a while once in the office, but the surgeon was working on a trauma that came in through the emergency room. It is not a boutique office. If you need that and the price associated with it, you will probably have to drive to the big city

I had a cosmetic breast augmentation in 2019 a little over a year ago. Dr. H prepped me for the surgery and answered all my questions before the operation. He discussed all the potential complications including some new issues associated with breast implants such as BIA-ALCL. If you are undergoing breast augmentation make sure you ask your surgeon about this issue. I was up and doing well on the day of surgery because he injected a long acting anesthetic at the time of surgery. You might also want to discuss this option with your surgeon. 1 year later everything still looks great.

Dr. Heffel took me through a complex breast reconstruction requiring microsurgery and surgeries on my opposite breast for symmetry- a breast reduction. He explained my surgery in detail and gave me options other than reconstructive microsurgery. He explained the upsides and downsides of each option. My first consultation with him lasted over and hour. He checked on me frequently during my three day stay in the hospital after the first breast reconstruction with microsurgery. The surgeries for symmetry on my opposite breast went just as well. I am quite happy with the treatment and care I received. I did not have to travel out of town to obtain this big surgery and could stay near my family.

Dr Heffel worked on me after major weight loss .. after loosing 100lbs on a 5ft frame he gave me a panniculectomy . He has a diffrent kind of personality, unlike most Drs. he is very outgoing and down to eath . I really loved having him as my surgeon AND my new tummy looks 100x better !! Thank you DR HEFFEL :)

Be afraid be very afraid if anything goes wrong he blames his patients does not take any responsibility for any of his own actions and/or mistakes.

My first experience with a plastic surgeon..Dr Heffel was very professional and I will be forever grateful to him. I had a accident was in jeopardy of loosing my arm, thank the Lord he saved it. I can never thank him enough.

Beware, when something goes wrong, HE DOES NOT CARE AND BLAMES THE PATENT! Then leaves town and leaves his patient to fend for themselves. Even the CDC acknowledged there were REAL complications, not just patient made ones. If Dr. Heffel would have cared and not blamed, thus patient would not have had to have over half of the abdomen removed from bacteria.

Our first contact with Dr. Heffel was very informative. The patient was experiencing a terrible infection in a hip that he had previously had cancer. He took the case for surgery and we were very pleased and thankful that Dr. Heffel could and was willing to help us. He has been most attentive to his patient's welfare and recovery. He has been here for us every step of the way anytime and every time we have needed him. I would recommend him to anyone needing a good surgeon.
