Dr. Dominic Lee Phemister

This man has no business having any interactions with patients and will probably be the cause of someone's death at some point in his practice. His contempt for patients, lack of empathy, unwillingness to listen are reason enough to deem him unqualified to practice medicine. Beyond these character flaws he is unable to identify life threatening medical red flags.

Very unprofessional, and does not care about patients safety or concerns, poor quality of care. This provider treated me and my family with very poor quality of care and was more interested in just getting us out of the ER. When we questioned a test result, he informed us that we should not believe or worry about that because that’s just an EKG machine and the it doesn’t know what its talking about. He stated that he does the interpretation and we should go by his interpretation, However, when we stated that his interpretation matched with what the other cardiologist stated in their interpretation, And they interpreted it from the information that they received from the same EKG machine that you’re telling us not to pay attention too, he got offended. A horrible experience, treated like trash and made to feel as if our concerns were not valid or warranted given the test results and symptoms. Whoever the nurse practitioner was that worked with him that nurse practitioner was awesome.… She had great bedside manner and actually showed concerned and was not afraid to admit when she did not know and she would seek out to get the correct information. However Dr. Dominic Phemister Was the complete opposite horrible bedside manner not receptive not caring, act as if he is high and mighty, and Did not care at all about the pain I was in or the concerns myself or my family was having. it was just a horrible, horrible experiencing. We have never been treated like that before. We were at the emergency room at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. This providers behavior does not align at all with St. John’s, alleged, morals, values or patient care criteria.
