Dr. Domenico Ruggiero, DO

I have never in my life experienced a more unprofessional Doctor l. my wife had an appointment there for pain in her ear and they coded it as a physical exam for a job... now we received a 1,017 bill because it wasn't considered diagnostic... I called my insurance company and they said no problem have them resubmit the code.. the nurse there named Emily was possibly the rudest person I've ever encountered.. she was talking to me like I'm stupid and refused listen to me explain the miscommunication between them and the insurance company, and to give me her license # at the end of the phone call only to hang up on me.. finally after calling back 3x and leaving messages the dr ruggerio called me back and harrased me saying he remembers the appointment and the pain but said he still considers it a physical not diagnostic.. then continued to say how "he has medical bills to sooo.. everyone has them" he is a con artist, deguistingly rude and a vile human .. at the end of the phone call I… asked him for his and his and his nurses license numbers and he responded "good like finding that" and hung up on me.

Fantastic family doctor. Listens and talks with you, not at you, and in words you can understand. Very caring.

Dr. Ruggiero has been my doctor for close to 20 years. The reason I would highly recommend to stay away from his practice stems from office conduct. The office staff never answered my calls over the course of months. I’m always sent to voicemail and have minimal direct contact with my doctor. His staff makes it near impossible to reach him at the expense of my health. Furthermore I wrote him a letter addressing my concerns on how I was being treated. With no warning after all my years there I received a letter of dismal that he will no longer offer me his services. It wasn’t even signed by him rather a member of the staff. I can only contact him for “EMERGENCY PURPOSES ONLY” for 30 days and after that I will be refused for treatment. The office staff have created an envoirment that has led to my abandonment. Not only had my condition I have been treating worsened now I can’t have any help for 30 days unless it’s an emergency and I’ll have to start from scratch with a new doctor while I… suffer and my health worsens. I’m deeply saddened he would allow a staff member to send a certified letter dismissing one of his patients.

I switched a doctor in old forge pa because he didn't explain issues with you would come in room take your vitals and hurried you out no personality about 20 years ago, I have been a patient of dr. ruggiero for 20 years he spends all time he has to and explains everything fully a great personality he is not one of them doctors that don't order tests he orders tests and has his staff schedule all your appts. for tests and other procedures you need to have , I love this dr. and would recommend him to anyone in need of a dr. my name is Jerome Teague from Scranton,pa

I have been a patient for over 15 years and would not consider any other doctor, he takes the time to explain all your results and findings of tests and this doctor is not afraid to order testing which in this day and age of insurance companies is not an easy thing as ins. co. do not like testing because of costs, this man has a great sense of humor and compassion for all his patients just a great guy and doctor I love this guy.
