Dr. Dominick Anthony Grosso, DO

I don't understand why vitals got rid of who is writing these reviews. So I wrote my review in 2016 with my name and I will re copy this review with me and my wife's full name. I just hate to see reviews that are not really from patients but friends or employees. This is not one. My name is Tony Tancredi and my wife Vittoria are patients of this wonderful doctor. So here is my review from 2016. Dr. Grosso has been my doctor for eight years now. I remember meeting him like it was yesterday. Yes at first he has this gruff at first nature but that is only his way. Once you become his patient he is like family. He finds me amusing since I was raised in NY and have a real NY accent and sense of humor. He answers all my questions and is always concerned about my health. He or his office has called me at my home to either answering a question or to see how I am doing. Seeing how I would talk positive about him made my wife changed doctors a few years later. You see Dr. Grosso is not a short… distance from my house so I travel the 25 minutes or longer to get there. He even asked me why I didn't get a doctor closer and I said when I feel comfortable with a doctor I don't mind traveling and my wife feels the same. Talking about my wife, I should tell you that you need patience to see her. She is a like a hypochondriac and she asks a million questions about her health. Dr. Grosso answers every one of them. He will prescribe medicine or give you a prescription for a test If you need. Something my doctor before wouldn't do. I just had a bout of left stomach pain and the pain was so much I thought a broke the good doctors hand. He right away put me on two medications thinking I had diverticulitis since I had a history of diverticulosis. He called me and I had a follow up right away to see how I was doing. Thank you Nancy, for squeezing me in when there was no appointment, when I had this pain. Nancy and Betty has been there since I was a patient and they are as nice and as good as it gets. Now my youngest son started going to him and he feels the same as us. What I love the best about Dr. Grosso is that once you schedule an appointment you see him and only him. After talking to my mother in law in N.Y., who just got sick, said to me she just came from her NY Top Doc. But guess what she seen a doctors assistant instead. WHY! Isn't the insurance company paying for the doctor. I read some of the negative reviews and I tell you that is not my doctor. So Thank You Doctor for your service and your care. My family does too. So yeah it is 2020, and my doctor is still there for me. Thank you again Dr. Grosso.

I have been a patient of Dr. Grosso for decades; he is an excellent communicator and does a thorough examination. He listens to all of my concerns and addresses each one of them in detail. He keeps the office visits light hearted while being serious at the same time. He orders all of the tests I need and relays the results back to me in a timely fashion. The office staff is professional and courteous; they always treat me with respect, and take the time necessary to manage my needs. It would be hard to find a better primary care physician than Dr. Grosso!

My Husband and I are patients of Dr.Grosso. He is the most caring Doctor easy to talk with and does communicate well with us. We would highly recommended him.Very Smart Doctor!!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Grosso for over 30 years and would not go to anyone else for primary care. He is extremely thorough and his diagnostic acumen is outstanding. My wife is also his patient as well as several other family members and friends.

I have been a patient of Dr. Grosso for more than 30 years and I trust him with my life. He is extremely thorough and does not let anything get by him as a diagnostician. My wife is also his patient as well as several other family members. I highly recommend him as primary care physician.

This doctor needs to retire sooner rather than later. There is some sort if inferiority complex that he suffers from that prevents him from actually advocating for his patients. Perhaps it stems from his DO designation rather than MD? I’m not certain. But, to have a mug in your office that says Google cannot replace me, means there is something he feels threatened by. That in and of itself makes takes precedence during your visit. He never actually looks you in the eye while you share your concerns, instead he keeps his head facing forward to computer typing away the entire time. A human connection can allow you to learn so much more about a patient, but he is quick and cold. He is not advocating for you, he seems to simply be passing the time. If you have questions related to your illness, he seems annoyed by them as if you may be challenging him in some way. This man has serious issues. He should not be allowed to care for people that are really ill. He needs to work on his own… issues before he can be capable of handling them of others. Humiliating patients should not be part of his protocol to healing. Do yourself a favor, find a good credentialed doctor that will advocate for you as you deserve. There are many out there. Stay far away from this doctor.

He has no bedside manner, never actually looks you in the eye as you describe your ailments, but instead keeps his head firmly planted in his computer so he can simply document what you are saying. I think there maybe some lingering insecurities in that he is a DO and not an MD? Anyone who has a mug in their office that says Google cannot replace me, is clearly suffering. It would be in his best interest to tap into these issues, rather than take them out on his patient, to the point of humiliating you, if you pose a question of any kind. Please do yourself a favor, find a doc that truly cares and advocates for you and is not in some sort of weird competition with you. It will serve you and your health very well. There are many qualified credentialed doctors out there, that truly care and is shows. Find one!

Uncaring and unnecessarily cruel. I came to him with an injury, which he did not take seriously. To add further insult to a literal injury, he laughed when he caused me pain during examination. There are plenty of caring doctors in the area. There is no reason to settle with Dominick Grosso's (lack of) care.

Don't understand how someone like this can be a Doctor. I don't have a particular story to tell about his assistance, I just think his service in general is horrible. Doesn't seem interested in his patients at all. You can tell by his demeanor that he doesn't want to be doing what he does (maybe he wants to retire). I even ran into a lady in the waiting room who asked my opinion of him and expressed her dissatisfaction with his service. I think people go see him because is convenient (they live close) or they are going to see him for the first time. If you are thinking of seeing him, don't do it. Anybody is better than this guy

More interested in billing for unnecessary tests rather than providing care. Also shared a crude joke regarding another patient.
